Good morning
Diana, yes the track is at the school outside. I like the eveness and smoothness of it for my hip. Better than the gravel roads around my house.
I took in 1530 calories yesterday. Did not get exercise in......just lazy. Want to start lifting weights again. Surgeon said it's okay; to ease into it with the leg weights.
Today's Plan: 1200-1400 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium supp., walk &/or recumbent bike, situps and stretches, maybe some arm weights.

Good Morning, Everyone!
I wanted to share a bit of an update on Ms. Connie. She had a scan done on Monday. The pancreatic cancer is stabilized. Still there but no change. There has been a tiny spot on her liver that is more obvious now but not really any larger. Not sure what that means. Maybe it showed up a little brighter on the scan. Not going to speculate because the Dr's were very happy and said it was a good report. We'll go with that. She will have a break from the chemo for the next 6 weeks. She has been struggling with weight loss and needs to gain weight. Thank you for all the prayers for her.

Luke 15:10
'Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.'
Paul fumbled with his keys outside his apartment. When he tried the lock, the door swung inward. Cautiously, he entered. As he switched on the light a dozen of his friends and neighbors jumped out, shouting, 'Surprise!' They had come out to offer a congratulations party for the sixty pounds Paul had been able to lose. It was such a wonderful moment. Paul had felt joyful about what he had done for some time, but it was something special to have friends celebrate with him. God had blessed Paul so much. Not only had He helped him when he dieted, but He gave him such good friends.
Today's thought: To gain means starvation; to lose, jubilation!

Good Morning!
Diana: Glad Ms. Connie is hanging in there...
Rachel: It is good that you are getting some exercise in.
CieCie: Missed CSI Vegas. I will try to catch it on demand.
Nancy: For me, it is hard to figure out what makes me lose wt. and what doesn't...
No swimming 2 days ago, but water walking yesterday. And I did get plants covered and other plants put in the garage before the frost.
Problem with fun size candy bars...not so fun yesterday. Diet okay today.

Good morning to all
WI up another .2 but considering I ate, oh approximately, 10 mini candy bars last night I am grateful
WO the lazy's got me.
I have to take my mother for a hair appointment today so that kinda will take up my afternoon.....The past few months my mother is relying more and more on me to do errands for her. It's not that she can't drive, she just gets nervous about doing any other than shopping for food, dr. appointments, and playing cards at the senior center. So now I will drive her for a hair appointment, be on the lookout for the jeans she likes to wear and purchase 3-4 pairs for her, find her a new purse, a few very specific type of turtle neck sweaters. I don't mind but yet I do a bit and I hate that I feel this way. Maybe it is a defense thing knowing my mom is getting to be less and less independent and we may have to face the reality that assisted living will be on the horizon

Hi!
Rachel: How is Earl "Stripy" doing? A family member who used to have a lot of cats once told me that every time they brought in a new cat, the pecking order was disturbed, and a lot of cats were upset until dominance was established...My cat is sitting on the back of my chair. Do you think he is dominant over me? Crazy Shirts, a t-shirt company have a Kleiban cat sticker with the subtitle "Bad Cat". Kleiban drew these stripy cat cartoons that became very popular in t-shirts and greeting cards many years ago... (It generated a 70 million dollar business!)
Nancy: I have these "gremliins" that get the best of me when it comes to certain foods... It's not my fault...
CieCie: Maybe I will watch CSI Vegas On Demand tonight...
I did exercises and I swam tonight (backstroke and water walking). I am so happy to be back in the pool. I did some stress eating tonight. I am not-too-happy about that.

Good morning
I met my goals for yesterday. Took in 1340 calories. Did recumbent bike, etc. Hip tolerated that pretty well. Having lunch with a friend today so will allow for more calories.
Today's Plan: 1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, calcium supplement, maybe treadmill today.

Matthew 5:11
'Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.'
Ken could hardly wait to get back to school. Peter had ridden him about his weight the entire year before. When Ken had vowed to lose weight over the summer, Pete had laughed at him. 'Fat boy, you can't keep away from food. You'll be back, big as a beach ball. Don't kid yourself!' Ken could hardly wait to make Pete eat those words. He had spent the entire summer as a Christian youth counselor at camp. The people there were so supportive of what he was trying to do. They had made it possible. Not only had they helped him lose weight, but they helped him show Peter just how wrong he could be!
