Good Morning!
Jen and Ginny - I do want to get some new jeans! I do!! :) But I at the rate I am going I dont want to have to buy new pairs too often! I am going to wait until I hit the 20 pound mark (only 7 pounds away) and then I will get some jeans. In the mean time, I am using a belt! LOL! I also dug out a pair of jeans yesterday that I couldnt wear because they were too tight (And I forgot about!) and they fit! THey are really loose in the thigh but that is ok! THey fit GREAT in the waist and hips! Woo HOO!! :) Spryng - Thanks for the kind words! I am proud of you too for sticking with WW! (And everyone else too!) I love going to the gym! I have a personal trainer who measures weighs me and measures me monthly and posts my stats on the "wall of sucess" now (I was measured a month ago and I get re-measured on next wed so we will see how I am doing according to them!) I cant afford the personal training so I use the knowledge from times past as well as "Shape" and "Fitness" MAgazines. I mainly use the Eliptical and Treadmill for cardio (Some times I use the Recumbant Bike) and then I trade of days and to Lower body weights one day and the next is Upper body. I always do Abs on the Mat and on a few of the machines! I got really lucky with this gym. THey are brand spanking new and I got in at a rate of $13 a month!! It is soo cool! JAckie - I am so glad to see your name!! hurry up and come back to us!! Ginny - Great job on your loss this week! WOO HOO!!! Ok, gotta run and get ready for school and the gym! I'll check back later! :) |
A quick good morning!!!
Spryng- glad that the visit with Dh went so well.....and that he liked the new you on WW! Hey, Karen- congrats on fitting into those new old jeans!!! I have a pair in that category myself that are waiting for me to lose another 10 # before I can get myself in them. You are doing so well and are an inspiration to all of us! Jackie- golly we miss you!!!!!!! Sorry that life has been so busy for you, as if this last spring was not busy enough!!! Hang in there- we are always here for you and you will never be a newbie to us! Jen- you getting any rest there, girl? Take care of yourself, ok?? Got my 45 minute walk in this am.......and have a million things to take care of this morning, but it is still less intense than yesterday was!!!! Doubt I will get back on later as Dd's open house is tonight. Have a great day! Ginny |
Good afternoon. :)
Just a quick post. Ds is sleeping, and I wish I were, too, but I had to drag my butt off the couch to throw together a batch of cookies for open house tonight (us, too, Ginny!). Then I was feeling a bit shakey, which I know is due to low-blood sugar since I haven't eaten since about 4am. So, I am sitting here with a nice bowl of fresh butternut squash soup and an iced green tea. I will hit the shower in a few minutes. Jackie, I will echo the others' sentiments on how good it is to "see" you! Sorry you couldn't stay longer. You are thought of often here. :) Karen, how cool about those jeans! I love when old clothes become like new again. :) Spryng, I'm with you on the self breast checks. I find them hard to do, because my breasts are so dense and fibrous anyway. I have already been sent to a surgeon to have "lumps" checked in years past, but it is always just normal fibrous tissue for me. I never know if what I'm feeling is a "lump" or not, and it frustrates me. Honestly, dh knows them better than I do :o and whenever I think I feel something, I just ask him and he will feel and usually says "nope, that's always been there." When I go to the doc next month, though, I am going to ask if I am a candidate to start mammograms. I am 31, and one of my doc friends told me that most insurance companies will cover you at 30 if you are considered "high risk". The fact that I am so fibrous, coupled with my father dying of cancer at age 42 and his father dying at 51 (of colon cancer, which now has hereditary links to BC) could just qualify me as high risk. Ginny, woooo hooooo to you on the loss!!!! You are getting so close to your goal! I am so happy for you!!! And, I'm sure you could deduct at least .4lb for yourclothes, which brings you to your 150lb mark! But, I undersatand you wanting to wait til it's "official" before you celebrate. Thanks for thinking of me..... I am hanging in there... have a busy afternoon/evening, on very little rest. This is my tough week, because I work the weekend. Doing every-other night all week is a killer, but it's the only way I can do it. As much as I'm enjoying my last year of having my little guy home with me full-time, I do long for next year, when he will go to preschool and I will have those two days to come home and snooze a bit without having to worry about him. :) Well, I made this much longer than I expected. I am going to quit now so I can shower while the little guy is still napping. Hope everyone else is well.... talk soon......... :) |
Hey, it's me again.... back with a little more energy after my lunch and a stint in the kitchen with some cookie dough.......... and, apparantly, talking to myself! Anyway, I thought you guys might like the cookie recipe I just tried out........ it's a great one for the kids, with a Halloween theme, and light enough that the Moms can sneak in a few. I have calorie and fat counts, but no points, sorry. This comes from this month's Cooking Light magazine........

Jeepers, where is everyone?!?!?! Hopefully, you are all just busy and well! And I am here, STILL talking to myself! Oh well, just like home, no one listens to me there, either!
Forgive me, but I am feeling a bit "witchy" this morn... PMS has hit with a vengeance! DH got it double-barrel this morn when he reminded me of an appt. that I had forgotten about for tonight... of course, he didn't put it on THE calendar, either.. that makes me crazy! The weather is rotten here again. I was going to take ds to the Aquarium, but I am not about to have us be drowned on the streets of Boston as we walk from the T to the Aquarium! So, looks like the mall and Chuck E Cheese instead. I gotta get this place picked up a bit first, though....... it is abominable and I am working all weekend, so you can imagine what it will be like by Sunday! I think I'm going to try my 3 mile WATP tape today..... I feel like I need an extra long workout to get rid of some of this frustration. I stepped on the scale this morn, and it does not seem to be moving. But, I know I am seeing definition in my legs from my workouts. And, I bumped into a friend at the school's open house last night, and she remarked on how great I looked..... I hadn't seen her for a couple of weeks. That made me feel good! :D All right, I will stop the babbling. Sorry.... I am just in a mood today.. this too shall pass. I hope everyone is well. talk later......... |
Here I am again, drowning in my own banter! You guys will die when you get here and see how I've been talking to myself. I think I need to remove my location, before 3FC sends the men in white coats!
Just gotta say.... I did my 3 mile WATP tape and it kicked my butt!!!! But, it was great! I kept up and did the entire thing, and I only felt like dying a little! I feel much better now, even mentally. I had a little "brunch" and I still feel a bit hungry, but I'm going to hit the shower and then have an apple with a bit of pumpkin butter on the side before ds and I head to the mall. That should keep me away from the bad mall goodies. k, hope you guys are well........ please tell me you didn't go and make up another thread with a new name to get rid of me!!! |
Good morning!!!!
Jen- you are not alone!! I've had days like that, a chatting with myself. But is it therpeutic......and thanks for keeping the thread going!!!! The cookie recipe sounds good, I will have to figure out the points for it and give it a try. WTG with the friend commenting on how good you look- that had to lift your spirits a bit, right? Which 3 mile Leslie tape do you have- is it the one with the weights? (just wondering if we have the same tape:) ). Keep up the good work!!!! And hopefully the tape will burn off some of that miserable PMS stress. Big hugs to you. Sorry too that you have to work all weekend.......yes, I can imagine what your house will look like by Monday- mine is already there!!!!!!! (as in a total mess). Remember- housework is patient and will always wait for you. And we are always here with a big smile and a hug too! As for me- last nite was open house for Dd (7). What a great nite. Dh does not always go with me- but he did last nite. The 2nd grade teacher also had Ds for 2nd grade ( I LOVE this woman!) and she spent a while chatting with Dh and I about her memories of Ds......from 7 years ago. Nice for us and her. Then we got home to Ds calling us from downstairs.......that Dd (17) got hurt at her soccer game so it was off to the ER for us. Thankfully it is just a soft tissue injury to her foot- which is plenty painful and swollen. Tonite is open house for Dd and Ds at high school. So one more busy day on tap. No walk for me today.....just too much on the plate and I have to sleep sometime!!!! Gotta go for now, though......have a great day! Ginny |
Good afternoon all!
Oh Jen! You crack me up, so does PMS make you witchy or witty? because I only see wit, lol. :) Great for you to try to get rid of frustration by working out! Did it help? Have fun at the mall today and chuck e cheese. Does that one have a bal pit?? I read something horrible about those ball pits once and now refuse to let my kids play in them... if they do have one ask a manager or someone how often it gets cleaned out and when the last time it was cleaned. Just my opinion though. You may be fine with it. :) I didn't post last night because I was so depressed. Yesterday was a very long day for some reason and then my 2 yo son decided to pour out my laundry detergent on my deep freezer making a HUGE mess, along with other little things happening over the course of the day I just lost it and started crying. After the kids went to bed at 9 pm and I talked to my DH at 10 pm I felt much better, just tired. So I didn't get my workout in, just didn't feel up to anything, but I did get all 22 pts in for yesterday and plenty of water. So I did good in that area. But today is going much better. It's pay day so I paid all of my bills either over the phone or through the mail which makes me happy, and later once the little girl I'm babysitting gets picked up I'm taking my kids out to eat and to buy them a treat, along with grocerie shopping and all that. SO I have a busy day ahead of me. but I already got my house cleaned, laundry done... so I have nothing to do right now. And today is the last day I'm babysitting (YAHOO!!) not that she isn't good, it's just that 4 kids at once is a little much for me. I'm sure that didn't help my mood yesterday. Well anyway, I need to get off here and check on them. TTYL!! |
Hey Jen.....just a dumb question. Do either of your cats sit on the computer monitor as you type??? RC does here~ what a cute habit. Ginny

Well ladies, I had a nice long post and guess what~poof it's gone! Hum, that's pretty upsetting!!! Oh well, I'll just say a few words and try to get back later. I'm still here, just busy with Myra. Unfortunately she has come down with strep, we saw her DR. yesterday and she put her on antibiotics, so hopefully she'll be getting better soon!
Anyway, Jen Congrats on getting through the 3 mile tape. And have fun with Ds, even though that weather is bad, just be careful!! Ginny Congratulations to you on your loss! Your total is getting up there now! Keep up the great work! Spryng, I'm glad today is going better for you, I must say I think you're awesome! I don't think I could handle all that you do, but you know when things get you down, we're here for you! As for me, I'm finally back on track with my points and I'm really feeling good about it! And next week is my 6 week check up with my OB and I should be released to start some light exercise. It will likely only be light walking, but that's a start. My incision from my c-section is healed but gets uncomfortable when I do to much, so I don't want to push it! But I've been up and around plenty with Myra, walking and bouncing her, can I use those as activity points!?! :) They should count for something seeing as how I seem to be working up a sweat, or maybe it's just my hormones are still out of whack from child birth? Oh well, Ladies, have a great day! I'm going try to get some house work done while my little sweetie is sleeping! |
Mel, you are so sweet! I don't think of myself as awesome...lol. In fact I feel like a failure most of the time. But don't you wish you could see yourself through another's eyes? Good for you for staying OP and jumping back into WW. I always find pregnancy nice in the eating department but know that once he/she is here it's time to buckle down again. This time around though it's been a breeze to stay OP.
Well today is my last day of babysitting... as soon as she is picked up today I'm LEAVING!! lol. I'm starting to count the minutes. :) I had a light lunch and breakfast because I plan on having fast food for dinner. So I have 16 pts to use for dinner now, which is nice. I'm also hoping to buy a new workout video tonight. I really want The Firm series but it's kinda expensive. My Denise Austin tape doesn't feel as challenging as it did a few weeks ago, and it's only 20 min. The firm cardio sculpt is 55 mins of weight trainging and aerobics! That should burn some fat! I've done alot of research on these and I really think they are the best for me. I wonder if they sell them seperately or if I can only get them in the 3 pack. Anyone know? Well anyway.. guess I'll get off here. I hope everyone is having a great OP day and I'll check in tonight before I go to bed. TTYL! |
Spryng, I have an email I can forward you, and you could check out those workout video's if you'd like. I'f so just PM me your email and I'll forward it. I ordered my WATP video's online and they started sending me email about lot's of other workout video's to check out. Anyway, just let me know!
|
Oh, here's the link the the web page instead of me having to bother you with email! http://www.workoutmusicvideo.com/firm.html
Hope you find what you need! |
Starting a new thread, see you there
