Good morning
Larry, It can be very soothing listening to a heart beat! Get those ear buds .
Teri, way to go on your weight-lifting. I'm going to try to get some of that done today.
Yesterday, I took in 1300 calories and did get some recumbent biking in so I'm happy about getting in some exercise. Teri is inspiring me to be more diligent about weight-lifting. Today might also be a scrabble day so will allow myself up to 1700 calories so that I may enjoy a snack .
Today's Plan: 1200-1700 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, cal/vit/min supp., lift weights for biceps and do leg press, stretching and sit-ups.

Luke 22:32
'But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.'
Everyone always wanted Brad on their team. He was tall and very athletic, and every team he ever played for seemed to win. There was also something about Brad that brought out the best in everyone else. It's good to have someone on our side who can swing the odds in our favor. Jesus Christ is just that Someone. He promised His disciples that He would pray for them and they could not fail in their endeavors. He prays for us, too. Jesus is always on our side, and that makes us unbeatable. As we attempt to lose weight, it is vital that we include Jesus in our plans.
Today's thought: With Jesus on my side, temptation doesn't stand a chance!

Wow you all have been busy this week!
Larry I am impressed with the pacemaker technology
Rachel you have been busy and it is great you are doing more strength training given your limitations
Jen, I too hate cigarette smoke, as a former smoker I can no longer stand that smell, I have not smoked for over 25 years and when I quit it was truly one of the hardest things I have every done
ciecie glad you are not in the middle of all that snow but
USC yikes more snow? go KC!
Teri you have upped your game! way to go
Diana you are always so calm and even keeled it seems
If I miss you I am sorry, 5 pages worth of reading and my head is swimming
My mom finally got her 1st covid shot and I am trying to get her scheduled for the 2nd but that is proving to me a major major challenge. Like the rest of you our gov controls the who gets the shot and when. I will be lucky if I will be able to get one next fall.
I got brave and rejoined my gym and since I am not working I can go at off peak hours. The place is huge and we all keep away from one another. I see the staff inconstantly cleaning the equipment and keeping cleaning stations stocked for members. When I am doing the elliptical I found it impossible to keep my mask on, so I lower it to my chin and keep my head down. As soon as I am finished the mask it back up. This is true of most when doing heavy cardio. I have however caught my first cold in about 3 years. Not bad just a sinus thing.
WI wise eh....about the same
WO getting them in
AF (alcohol free) I am doing better than last month and light years better than last year. So plus for me. On another forum I am learning more and more about addiction. Knowledge is a powerful thing as well as recognizing when things are going sideways.
So I am trying to find a great way for me to celebrate DH 65th birthday in a few weeks....suggestions? Oh then I have our 25th Anniversary in April....more suggestions LOL I am just brain dead. We can't dine out (I am not willing to sit outside in a tent with others and no mask) I am not sure I am ready to travel on a plane yet but considering. But if I do where would I go? My children who live out of state have said nope can't see me unless you quarantine. (youngest works in senior facility) Vacation destinations? but you can't enjoy eating out....help
ok I will pop back in again in a few days, loved catching up on the posts

Nancy Maybe you can drive somewhere special to celebrate. Just thinking out loud. Maybe an off season place where there's not a lot of people. Are you OK with eating in a restaurant? Here all the restaurants are open People wear masks and they seat people every other table.

Hi!
Larry, Your cardio equipment sounds like maybe it could be used as biofeedback for meditation. Maybe I am wrong.
Nancy: Happy you are having some success.
CieCie: I thought maybe there is some new Harry Potter type stuff (books or film) in the works.
Well, I got my 5 days in of 40 minutes of exercise. This was the 4th week. Diet okay except for frappe and 2 slice of pizza. (I must stop eating other peoples' food.

Good morning
Nancy, hello!! Always so good to hear from you! Way to go on joining the gym again. That must feel good to be doing that: mentally and physically. I am glad your Mom got her first covid vaccine. I am trying hard to get my parents scheduled for their first one! I pray that I can touch base with someone today about it.
Yesterday I took in 1500 calories and did get some weightlifting done: biceps and leg press.
Today's Plan: 1200-1400 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, cal/vit/min supp., stretching and sit-ups.
