Hebrews 9:23
It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices then these.
I took a youth group to a play on Good Friday once while I was fasting. All I could think of was how hungry I felt. I was a little cranky, and I found it difficult to concentrate on the play. Suddenly, I looked at the face of the young man who played Christ. His face was contorted with the pain and suffering of our Lord. I looked at a face which truly mirrored everything Jesus had been through, and I was ashamed at myself for the self-pity I had indulged in. When I compared my minor discomforts with the true sufferings of Jesus, I realized I had nothing whatsoever to complain about.
Today's thought: I will think of what I have, rather than what I have not!
Sharnaa: Hi! Hope you figure out a way to resolve your problems. I do not like stress...
CieCie: I have been watching a bunch of Masterpiece Theatre shows Sunday nights...
I finally finished the 5th workout early this am. Yeah...Tomorrow will be a new day and new workout week for me. Diet is a bit of a struggle for me. I have been eating some hot chicken cheese soup that I bought a few weeks ago. At least I did not eat it immediately after I bought it.
Teri, I usually don't watch Master Piece shows unless it's something that really interests me. Will be watching 60 Minutes and Dateline tonight. Just finished doing 2 miles Leslie Sansone. Will power walk to and home from lunch. Will run errands on the way home.
Good night all! Did another 2 miles Leslie Sansone this afternoon. Did a load of laundry and bagged up the trash before I left for lunch. Folded the last load that I put in the dryer on Friday when I got home. Dried two loads today and folded one. Also put the new laundry hamper together. My sister ordered it online and had it sent. Took me 5 or 10 minutes to put it together. Will be shutting down to go to bed in a few minutes.
Great Sharna I would say "stress" eating an apple is not really listening to the stress that tells you to eat a big chunk of apple pie
I like to keep tabs on this page because everyone's endeavors are awesome - I need to yet fully commit to accountability in such space.
Meanwhile a little quote to motivate: A Healthy lifestyle isn't about what you lose it is about what you gain
Cheers everyone
I watched the season finale of "All Creatures Great and Small" on Masterpiece Theater last night. I don't watch much TV but I sure adore that series and can't wait until the next season of it. Just such a lovely and uplifting show.
I took in around 1500 calories yesterday. Met my other goals too.
Today's goals: 1300-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp, leg press for weights, recumbent bike, stretching.
TREEMBBS Thank you for sharing. It's good to see you check-in.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
David was driving everyone crazy. He seemed to breeze through his diet while everyone else struggled. At first, everyone assumed he was cheating on his diet, but when he began losing weight faster than everyone else, they gave up on that thought. It was finally discovered that only one thing made David different from the rest of the group: David was a Christian. He began sharing his faith and told the others they could cast all their cares on the Lord, and God would help them face all their trials and temptations. The group not only lost weight, they gained faith!
Today's thought: As we cast our cares on God, He casts His love on us!
