Good morning to all my chicks...you know you are all so smart!
WI still way up there but down from Monday so yeah
WO I have got in 5 consecutive days this week. It has been tough when I have not worked out during the holidays

I have been doing a lot of reflecting about this journey and I am making some changes. The biggest will be I am going to drop ww. Since the pandemic they closed all the 'workshops' and went to zoom meeting with your coach. Now that they are reopening in my area and you have to make reservations to attend with your coach, and if you can't do that they have zoom meeting with coaches who have no idea who you are and attendance in any of them can reach the 1,000. I enjoyed the one to one even in the zoom meetings. You knew everyone there and could talk freely, now it is just too much trouble. That and the fact the costs are still high and I only managed to lose 10lbs for an entire year and managed to gain back 8 in just this past 8 weeks. So with that being said....I am making the change back to calorie counting using my fitness pal. If any of you use this platform let me know and I can send a friend request.

I do enjoy the interaction I get here! you are all so supportive and I will continue to post here too but maybe just not as frequent. I use to have this thread pinned to the top of my computer screen, along with many other unrelated websites. It just got to be too overwhelming for me to keep up, hence stress, hence eating/drinking. Since I removed them and only pop on every day or so my eating has calmed back down and I have not had any adult beverages in 5 days. Record for me sometimes.

Bear with me as I will be on and off but always reading the posts. I love to know how everyone is doing, including the drama of the 'cat mom's' just brings a smile to my face

back later

Hi!

Hope you all are doing well.

I walked 40 minutes again. I took the high road (hilly). I have not done that in a really long time. I walked past the burnt house. It is so sad. There are plywood boards covering window panes that were broken. The newspaper had pics/article covering a third of a page. A nurse had lived there. I hope she has lots of insurance. I am thinking they may have to tear down the whole thing.

A friend of mine, P has a foot ulcer. Please think of her...

I was on track last fall and spring and then I lost it and have been eating too much this past summer and fall. Maybe I can get it together this month! I am so tired of CoVid19.

Rachel: I thought when I wrote about my cat coming to me with his butt problem...that this site maybe would erase it as being politiCATly incorrect. I had family members who have cats that had no idea that you can get your cats to communicate with you...They were really surprised when my last cat came over and sat in front of me and started yowling.
Nancy: Glad you are figuring out a way to handle your stress...I get a lot of emails...and it can get REALLY get away from me...
Usc: I am rooting for OSU...but they seem to win an awful lot and it would be okay with me if someone else from the BIG TEN got to play in the finals. OH, I have the Fung book out of the library, too.
Jen: How is the home schooling?
Larry: Let us know how you are doing.
Diana: So glad you continue to have this group.

Default Good morning

Larry, where are ya?!

Nancy, I'm so glad you checked in! Yes, please check in when you can or are comfortable with. I like your new plan. Sounds like you've done a lot of reflection. We all need to do that: step back and take a good overall assessment of things. Helps to clarify our goals.

I took in 1480 calories yesterday. Would like to get some exercise in today.

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., recumbent bike, situps, stretching.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

January 9

1 Timothy 4:8
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

There is an old adage that says, 'Don't put the cart before the horse.' Many people try to lose weight without a specific goal in mind. Often people set a goal that is unrealistic. In our attempts to become more mature as Christians, we grow a little at a time. God doesn't expect us to be perfect right away. He knows that our growth takes time. The same is true of our attempts to lose weight. We need to take it a little at a time. Crash diets and heavy exercise programs are not the way to go. Our Christian growth should provide us with an example. Let us approach our diets with patience and take it a small step at a time.

Today's thought: Dieting is easier if we try to lose weight little by little.

Hello gang - we are over two thirds done getting the Christmas decorations put away. My daughters are complaining a little and my wife is stressed, but we are getting there. I hope to get some therapeutic steps in later today and watch some football.
