Good morning

Shr1nk1ngme, :welcome: to our group!!

Teri, did your cats watch Dr. Doolittle with you!?

Nancy, what a good idea to analyze those oopsies. Could be a real key; I need to try to do that too.

I met my goals for yesterday, except for forgetting my vitamin/mineral supplement. I even got a few weights lifted. Going very carefully in that area where my hip is involved; lifting lighter weights and not as much. Took in 1310 calories.

Today's plan: 1200-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium, vitamin/mineral supplement, situps, will try some more light weights (biceps and leg curls), maybe use the exercise bicycle for a few minutes.

Good morning! Will have breakfast and work out in a few minutes. 😁❤️

Luke 1:49

'For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.'

Al sat in his chair, looking around the living room at all the people he loved so much. Six months ago, he had almost died of a heart attack. Today he was forty pounds trimmer and a whole lot healthier. He had so much to be thankful for. God had been so good to him. He never realized how much life meant to him until he almost lost it. Now he found it wasn't that hard to watch his diet and his blood pressure. It was worth it. God had done great things for Al. The least he could do was take good care of himself. After all, he had a great family that he planned to enjoy into his old, old age.

Today's thought: Life is a gift from God that I have no right to abuse!

Good morning again! Just had breakfast. Will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁❤️

Nancy, I am sorry your job experience was painful and I am sure many of us feel for you. I had a lead position 10 years back and it was miserable. The team was overworked and apathetic, and leadership was way over demanding and bullying. I had several anxiety attacks working there and was struggling physically and mentally. I ended up taking a demotion which was the best thing that ever happened to me. When you work in a bad environments with a bunch of jerks, you need to make change. Life has better things in store.

Got the leaf blower out and bagged 7 bags full yesterda on a chilly morning. It was quite a workout, including moving the hose rack in the garage. 4500 cals burned yesterday, 22500 steps, 2700 cals consumed - lots of tortilla chips devoured watching Wisconsin destroy Michigan. Also, USC is 2-0 but maybe the crappiest, luckiest team I have ever watched.

Good morning to all!
As this weekend moves on my mental health just keeps getting better!
WI down .2, 157.8. I really think those gains I had this past 6 weeks were stress related. Leaving one stressful job only to land in another and now poof, I am going back down to where I was in September.
WO it is kinda damp outside but I think we are still going to bundle up and go for a long walk. Exercise really helps me relieve the stress

After our walk today I am going to concentrate on some more painting. I told my DS I am running out of wall space and she wanted me to mail her all of my overflow to sell for me HaHa Ha. not...I wonder if I can figure out a way to hide these 12" round mdf boards for people to find like I do my rocks? The only problem is the back is not sealed only the front that I painted. hmmm something to ponder :corn:

Ok I am off for a bit, back later as always

I need advices

Hi to everyone, i’m here because my girlfriend broke up with me and I absolutely want to get in shape. This is my situation:

I started from 230 pounds 2 months ago and i’m 6’ tall.

For this whole week my weight was around 210 pound, so it’s no longer decreasing; I lost 20 pounds in 2 months, but my belly and low back fat is still there.

Do you think i should eat less, change what i eat or it’s just a slow process?

I use the principles i learned from the book “the obesity code” that I listen on audible for free even when I sleep ;)

This helped me getting started but now I feel stuck, do you have any other book where i can find other strategies?

I also heard about water fasting , do you reccomend it ? It doesn’t sound safe, but if someone did it can share his experience?

Good morning

Usc4valpo, I'd say you had a GOOD DAY yesterday :D.

Giuseppealtop, Welcome to our group. I guess I don't know anything about the "Obesity Code" or about water fasting. I would say that for me, weight loss/maintenance is a combination of things but the gist of it is that I need to not take in more calories than my body needs (which is different for everyone and determined by age, activity level, height, body type, etc.) Therefore, I personally need to count my calories plus have a regimen of activity to help keep my body healthy. I'd advise doing some research to find out how many calories you need to limit yourself to daily or weekly in order to lose the weight you wish. Having accountability and emotional support from a group like this is also tremendously helpful and a part of the equation for me. It's a daily mind-set. I think you could ask yourself what are your real reasons for wanting to lose weight and you have to really want to. Stick with us; this is a great group!

I met my goals for yesterday. I discovered that riding a recumbent stationery bicycle is actually tolerable for my hip! Pleasant surprise. I tried out the one at my parents' house yesterday.

Today's Plan: 1200-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium and vit/min supp., situps, recumbent bike.

November 2020

Good Morning!

Rachel: My cats were somewhere else. I ended up only watching a bit of the film. For some reason when I turned it on, I was thinking of the book/PBS show All Things Bright and Beautiful about a vet in England...
usc: My team is 0-4 this year. That is a real shocker...
usc, CieCie: We got the wind here, too. There was a power failure while I was on the computer...
Welcome Gieuse!

No exercise. It rained all day, but there were some lulls, but I did not get out to walk.
Diet: hotdog and french fries. No ice cream. Oh well.
I used zoom for the first time. It was pretty easy. It is a good way to go, given the widespread corona virus.
