Hello All,
I am still here and doing well Can't believe the summer in almost over.
I traveled to jersey shore and state parks for vacation.
Glad to read your updates and keep up with the good work.
Our gym will reopen tomorrow and indoor dinning will resume this Friday. Things are moving along pretty well.
We'll likely go back to the office full time in couple of weeks.

Good evening to all
Diana thank you for getting us started on a new month
Last Month I worked hard on 'Making a new Path" and I chose to curb my alcohol use to a Saturday afternoon only and it worked for the entire month. This month I am going to work on no more/less negative self talk about anything...talk to me like I was my best friend.
Ok so today I got my WO in but I still can't do my lower body strength training in until the pulled muscle is better.
WI I am seeing overall slow progress, I am down 4 lb since July 31 so I feel pretty good about that.
back again later

Good morning
Ciecie, how far do you have to travel today for your aunt's funeral? May you all be comforted.
Nancy, way to go on your four pounds down.
Yangtzer Gangster, so good to hear from you!! Thanks for posting. Yes, summer is about over. Hard to believe, isn't it? Will be nice for you to have the gyms open finally.
Diana, I, too, feel best on a meal plan close to what you described of lots of veggies, lean protein, and fruit. I also need whole grains and legumes to feel my best. I eat very little meat for my protein.....just feel better that way.
Yesterday went well; I was really being careful; trying to counter-act the damage I'd done the past few weeks with high fat and too many calories. I skipped the treadmill; I need to try to stay true to doing that at least 5 times a week. I don't do much; just about 15 minutes on it, but it does make a difference if I am faithful to it.
Today's goals: 1300-1500 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, calcium, treadmill.

Good Morning, Everyone!
Welcome back, everyone! It's good to see you.
Nancy I hear you on the negative self talk. I have huge issues with this and need to work on it.
Last night: Basic stretches
This morning: Oxycise
Calories for yesterday: 1320 +
Weigh In: 182.6
No Change (I have been at this weight for a few days)
Have a Blessed day, stay safe and healthy!
Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
September 1
2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.Muriel knew she couldn't do it alone. She wasn't strong enough. Her friend Ann told her that one of her strengths was realizing she was weak. Too many of her friends tackled diets on their own and failed miserably. Well, Muriel wasn't going to make the same mistake. She wanted help from the outset. If we realize our weaknesses and limitations, then we are better able to cope with them. God will help us be honest with ourselves, so we can work to turn our weaknesses into strengths. Pray to God for that insight.
Today's thought: What I want to eat and what I need to eat are two different things!

Diana I am treating the positive self talk like I did earlier last month. I am visualizing a path that is overgrown and hard to travel, full of thorn bushes, tall tangles of weeds etc. the first attempts to get though are going to be hard and each day the path is getting more and more beaten down until it is a smooth trail. In the evening I close my eyes and see my progress even if it is only a few 'blades of grass' that have been trampled.
Good morning to all
WI doing well (surprise surprise)
WO just finished now off to a shower
back later

Good Morning!
Way to go Nancy...
Yangzter: Jersey shore sounds fun...anywhere near that pony island...
No exercise last night. I did a brief walk with a neighbor this am. It went really fast talking to someone else. Diet okay.,,except too many chips. I need to use up more food in the house and then go grocery shopping.
Goals: not overeat, use food mover...
