Hi!

Jen: I was looking up this purple flower yesterday. It is a creeping bellflower. It is supposedly edible...I got rid of it on the side of the house a couple of years ago. But is is all over in the front of the house. I am also trying to get rid of another bellflower called cherry bells. (Mine are actually white.) Once I took some for a plant swap with these professional gardens and it was like pooh-poohed because of its invasiveness... Oh, I have these other bellflowers called blue clips and white clips and they are wonderful..I wish they were hardier. I think the critters devour them.

I went out weeding twice yesterday and filled 4 baskets with weeds...No cardio. Wt. is up. I think because of kielbasa. Oh, I bought 3 small frozen chicken pizzas, one SW smoked and the other Mexican...These things are not good to eat if you are trying to lose wt. Too much salt and fat. I did consume less than 500 calories. I have been drinking "iced coffee" from a carton. It is too coffee for me, so I mix it with almond milk which is alot less calories. I need to get out my ice crusher and really make it iced coffee.

I should really eat salad with a half slice of pizza...

We had frost last night. When it warms up, I need to continue weeding. I also need to plant a few plants each day. I have this really pretty iris I need to split. It is very dramatic (purple and white). I am not sure if it is a siberian iris or a Japanese iris.

Job 11:15
For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear.

What a marvelous feeling, being able to stand up in front of the diet group and tell them she had lost forty-four pounds! Marcie never thought she'd see the day. She remembered all the times when, with great embarrassment, she had to confess that she was not even close to her goal. Those days were behind her. All the doubts and guilt were over. The groups had been a great help, too, as God had been. Her faith was a large reason that she was able to stay with it as well as she did. Praise God, everything worked out. She held her head high and shared her great news with the group that had helped her so much.

Today's thought: Doubting never helps get things done!

Good afternoon to everyone!
Finally the smoke has abated and I can actually see the hillside down the street from our home!....huge improvement
Official WI at ww. up .2 so this is good, since last week I did not go to wi because of the air quality and I was up a 1.0, which I recorded so happy that the official scale only showed a .2 gain. I am hoping next week I finally finally will hit the milestone of 10lb...sheesh that seems so small but this journey has not been kind to me this year.
WO hope to get some walking in today...and of course a bit of painting.

Terri, you garden just always sounds so beautiful and frost? in September? oh my
Rachel, enjoy the weekend away, I hope to do the same next weekend
Diana, you are doing the steady drop again I see
ciecie, everything normal with the blood and urine testing?
Jen you are doing fantastic and whoop whoop and a high five on your new low!

back later chicks

Nancy It may seem like the journey has not been kind, but I see it a different way. We are learning things and getting a stronger foundation about what works and doesn't work.

Thank you Diana I need those words today, it just has seemed like I was running uphill in quick sand. I need to be kinder to myself and celebrate smaller victories? You have inspired me for so long I look to you as my mentor...

Revelation 21:7
'He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.'

Chris thought he was going to die. Why did the gym teacher make the fat kids run track? It wasn't human. His pulse was pounding so hard he thought his eyes might pop out. The finish line looked a million miles away. It wasn't worth it. Somehow he had to lose some of his excess baggage. Nobody could go through life feeling as bad as he presently felt. We need to overcome our weight problems. Life is not meant to be a struggle, but a blessed gift from God. If we will work to be overcomers, then God will bless our efforts and carry us over the finish line.

Today's thought: With each pound I drop, I move faster toward my goal!
