Here I am, back again
 

Long story short: Following a bereavement my hubby and I gained 6 stones (84lbs) each. We got them off with Slimming World and put 3 back on, then lost 1. I am going on a dream cruise next April and would like to get some more off. I'm being kind to myself. I'm aiming for a pound a week which will be 52lbs in a year. I'm not setting unrealistic goals and neither is my hubby. If we are invited out to dinner we are going to go and chose the lesser of the evils on the dinner table. I have trouble with my joints so if I have a bad day, I'll have a whisky. Our neighbour has joined S.W. so we are getting the new thinking on Syns from her. But as we have all the recipe books, are not re joining. It's not just for my health, it is also for my confidence. At the moment I feel like a great big lump of failure.

Congrats on the big whoosh of 2lb down that is a lot in one week(?)
Weight loss is such a fickle thing. Some weeks I can gain as much as 5lb then not lose for another few weeks ...then one day whoosh it is gone and then some. Keep up the good work
