Default October 2019

Hi!

Diana: Thanks for starting new thread.

It is the middle of the night. I just did some wt. lifting. I will do some biking next... Diet okay except for a frappe.

I have been looking at apps (again) for habits and for grocery shopping. They are not exactly what I want...I am trying to figure out whether any of the apps would be useful to me.

Default Welcome, October!

Yesterday I took in 1550 calories. Didn't get official walk in, but did walk quite a bit in big store shopping for groceries so that counts. I stepped on the scale yesterday. AARGHHH! I'm up 6 pounds. I thought I had been maintaining this past summer, which I HAD! RATS!! But some weight has slowly been creeping back up. Time to buckle down. Seems like when I go over 1500 calories on a consistent basis, I start gaining.

Today's goals:
1200-1400 calories, fiber, veggies, try to get some weights lifted today or tomorrow.

Good Morning, Everyone!

A new month! I am going to try to be more consistent with longer workouts. I struggle with weight loss with shorter workouts. Eating on plan helps, too. We had the hurricane last month and I had other anxiety triggers. So hopefully I will be more consistent with my eating this month. Always a work in progress, but at least I am still working at it.

Last night: Basic Stretch
This morning: Oxycise

Calories for yesterday: 1515 +
Weigh In Saturday

Have a Blessed day and a great start to your month!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

October 1

2 Corinthians 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches,in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Having to diet was like having a bad rash. It was almost impossible to ignore, and it never went away. It was a real test of will not to give in when the stomach started growling. More than anything he ate regularly, just not as much as he was used to. He always prided himself on being a strong person. His diet was proving otherwise. He was short-tempered and cranky. As hard as it was, he had to admit he needed help. He prayed for God to strengthen him through his diet. With God's help, he felt he might just make it.

Today's thought: I'm stronger than my stomach gives me credit for being!

Good morning all
153.0 this morning

Happy October

Diana I am with you, the beginning of the month is a good time to restart and refresh, get ready for the holidays. Better to go in strong.

Goals for the month are to get back in the 140s on my scale and to get back into a regular exercise routine by doing something that supports my goal each day. Using the resistance bands I got a few months ago this morning

Hope everyone is doing well

Hi Teri,

Awhile ago someone on here suggested Habitica, you can make your own checklist of habits you want to work on and you create a little avatar that you can buy stuff for with coins you earn by doing your habits. I use it off and on. There was another one I used that I can’t remember the name of, I will see if I can find it. It was more like lists.

Good afternoon to most
Well WI is not looking good, I am thinking there is something wrong with my scale! I am up almost 5lbs from last Wednesday. I know I had a few off plan meals over the weekend but nothing to warrent this. 157.2 this morning. Maybe the batteries are going out? Or I never really lost down to 152.4? Just don't know but so discourgaged.
WO well did cardio but not much else, well upper body stuff

I am really bummed out my phone did a hard factory reset on me last night. I am not sure how it got to that screen but when all the smoked cleared, I had lost all my pictures that I saved from text messages, facebook etc. Only ones left were ones I took with my camera. Then of course the hassel of logging back into all the apps I have on my phone....so between this and the scale thing...think I am going to go put my head in the sand and pretend nothing is wrong LOL

Maybe when you come back up, everything will be back to normal.

My phone had a major update, too. But, thankfully I haven't noticed anything wonky with it. Maybe I should say "yet". The crap can still hit the fan.
