Thanks redballoon. There's definitely more learning for me to do about myself, especially in regards to food and my body. Its illuminating to read your post because its so contradictory to everything I've ever been told about losing weight - and it also sounds so freaking freeing. I really, really appreciate it, and have to think about it more.

asuzy - It makes sense that in order for intuitive eating to work for someone, they first have to fail to truly understand what that does to their body. I went through a day or two of being hungry before I got used to the fasting period.

Hello,
I am getting back to OMAD after gaining 30# that I had lost with this way of eating 2 years ago.
First, let me introduce myself - I am old :) and have been a yoyo er all of my life. I can lose weight, but can't maintain. I started back on plan yesterday and really need support. I have been trying to do this since January; but, I guess, just couldn't get my mind ready. I want to be healthy and need to take care of myself at this age. Also, need to be able to wear my clothes and feel well.
Sometimes, when I am doing this plan, I think I eat too early in the day and can do better when I eat my meal in the evening. This way seems to eliminate those evening munchies. This time, I am going to eat around 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. and then won't be hungry before bedtime.
I am trying to cut out processed foods, but, if needed, will have a few things on hands if I don't have time to prepare a meal.
Any ideas or suggestions will be welcome.
Have already made a chicken salad for this evening and will have this with veggies and yogurt and blueberries.
I know we can all do this together. I know this way of eating works, so am excited to stick with it.
