As one of the older ladies, the only thing that really gave me a surge of "desire" after about 35 was when I took hormone replacement - even the vaginal estrogen helps in that department - there are so many factors, emotional, hormonal, even some irritation .............. might be worth chatting with your gyno?

Thank you ladies. I really don't know where the *boost* is coming from but at this point it is unwelcome. My hormones have always been a bit wild though.
Well today I ate chicken, broccoli, mushroom, zucchini in a chicken soup base. It's called house soup at the Chinese place. I figure about 170 cal.
So for the day 533 kcal. Yay.
Tomorrow is my last day with my boys for a week. This is very hard for me. Thank you for your support.

Hi Everyone!
Jen The only time I have had a "surge" was when I went off BCP 10 years ago. I turned into a crazy person, LOL. I was literally chasing DH around the shop. He liked it in the beginning but then I started getting on his nerves. It calmed down back to normal over time. I have always felt that I had a bit lower libido due to my thyroid issues.

You ladies are all too kind. 💚 Thanks for the prayers, thoughts and support. I've been a member here for years and it's always been such a positive/friendly atmosphere. Thank you. We will all get through this. 💪
Wellbutrin does help with weight however it has a stimulant component and that could induce anxiety. It's a good one for depression but not folks like me with a history of panic attacks.
So I'm on day 7 of cutting back my Zoloft from 75 to 50 and already my jeans are no longer uncomfortable. I've come to the conclusion that they don't make you gain actual fat but make you retain water like crazy. The reason I wanted to try Zoloft is because it's the only one FDA approved to treat anxiety/panic and OCD as well as depression. I have it all. 🙄
Anyway I ran a 5k but laid off the weights because my back was feeling really bad for a few days and it's finally quiet. I didn't want to aggravate it.
Terri, my cat died back in November and I already adopted another. I'd get two cats but my Ruthie doesn't like other kitties. All the other cats at the shelter were probably relieved when I took her home. lol
Stay focused ladies.

Novangel, good to hear from you again...Lol about your terror cat. I tend to love the untouchables more. Glad you are making progress with the med. I pray peace for you too. I had a panic attack once but only because my hand pain was radiating my left arm and I was scared it was a heart attack.
Diana, Lol about chasing DH. Maybe it was my thyroid kicking in that gave me the boost?
Sorry for the double post, my phone holds posts and then I'm not sure if I submitted it.
My abs and back are now super sore from the plank workout. The area on my sides right beneath my ribs is particularly sore. Any tips on getting rid of this unpleasantness?

Hello!
GrannyNancy- Prayers! Wow! not fair and not right, but pray it all comes together with a special blessing for you and your family!
Jendiet- Prayers! for a better night sleeping! I understand a little of what your talking about. My husband was hurt really bad in car accident and lived 4 days and passed last year on April 9th. I miss him terribly, and most definitely miss all the extracurricular activity as well, but could never just go find it somewhere on a whim. Wouldn't be happy even if I did, because who I really want is him. So not quite the same but I understand a little of what your saying. Prayers for a better night sleeping! Prayers for the next week flies by for you.
Terriooo- Everyone has an off plan day! Just gotta get back on it the next day and not let it worry you. You got this!
Nancyimrn- great staying on plan-no worries ...
Novangel- Wow! a 5k that is awesome! Prayers for continued tapering
I am going to have a cup of tea and go to bed... Have a great night and better tom everyone. God Bless!

MARCH 2018--Down a pinch
Hi there...
Beeps: I ate some blue peeps...this bird brain of mine still wants to peck sweets...
Jen: ...I'd rather think about men all the time than food. Vinegar helps me focus less on food. I don't know what helps with men...maybe google it. Lavender?
Novangel: I had a girl cat and brought home an unfixed male kitten. One sniff of him and she had fit... They never ended up best buddies. I asked for antidepressants for the cat from the vet, but they refused. Now, I would try pheromones.
I thought I did pretty good yesterday. Diet was okay. I did have some Peeps and some jelly candy, couple sips of chocolate milk...no fast food!
I had a good workout, too: 30 minutes arc trainer and 45 minutes in the pool. And I did the usual exercises in front of the pool.
225/211.6/212.8/212.7/210 The scale did not budge much.

Watch out! There are a lot of people who would take advantage of us, just because we are vulnerable. When we decide to lose weight, we find ourselves weak and looking for easy answers. Unscrupu-lous doctors, slick marketing gimmicks, and shyster con artists make promises and products purely for profit. They feed on poor people who want nothing more than the easiest way to take off pounds. Thank goodness we have a source of strength to resist such come-ons. God will protect us from running off after gimmicks and tricks. He is the true answer and the only way to succeed in everything we do.
Today's thought: No human plan or gimmick comes close to God's plan!

Good morning to all,
Wow what a busy posting day yesterday! So glad to see everyone is so active!
WI down a bit more and I know it is my body finally releasing the water gain from two meals out this weekend. 166.4
Jendiet, I am a 59 and holding gal and when I was your age with three kids my hormones went up and down, and it was about your age I was divorced too. So I get the whole emotion, then having to let care for MY girls. When I divorced I move back to PNW from AR so he would get the girls for the entire summer. It was always the fear he would not send them back and one year when it was just my youngest there he didn't I had to fly to AR and get the sheriff to escort my daughter out of school they enrolled her in and to my car where we caught a flight out. Was a bad bad time in my life. Anyway things get better and you learn to love yourself, I was not looking for another relationship when it just happened and I have been married to my current husband now for 22 years and I just marvel at where did the time go?
More personals later gals.........

Last time I posted was on page four, so I hope everyone is well!
I had a major loss of a family member, it was long time coming , was more emotional than I thought it would be . A family member that was always putting her nose where it didn't belong, but was the glue of the family .
I just couldn't stay on my strict diet plan nor my exercise plan. However work is still physically strenuous and I've not been over eating. But when I have not estimated calories I just try to skip a meal by combining a very late night dinner and skipping breakfast followed by a small salad with no dressing and water with lemon and stevia.
Im pleased that as of this morning I'm 221lbs .
I'm actually not sure how to post my stats. My highest I ever weighed 274lbs but that was almost ten years ago. I do t have pictures and it's only my word. After a car crash I went from my typical 264 to 274. I could barely walk for appox 6 months. The first two minutes of standing was extremely painful. So I basically became sedentary.
Slowly I got feeling better and just have a small limp. My approach was to have calorie restriction as 95% of the weight loss. To try and do the doable. I had much success with intermittent fasting. And still use that approach . I'm am passionate about practicing the intermittent fasting. I've aimed a alot of knowledge and experience with it and I can. Basically turn it off and on,. And my guess is that I not look at how many fasting das I have in a month but look back over a years time then the fasting is seen on the scale. So it's an on going never ending attempt not to just lose fat, but a lifestyle that's geared for longevity. The biggest hurdle was mine own issue . I switched for eating for feeling full with flavorful foods. To eating only what I need for health benefits of my food choices.
My staples are
Walnuts
Sardines or salmon
Mini sweet peppers.
Oat bran
Variety salad.
Sweet potato
Spinach
Green peas
Veg rainbow pasta with stringed vegetables noodles in spaghetti sauce , chilli or italian.
And when I feel like being cheap I eat 2boiled eggs and a fruit pie for lunch. So less than dollar.
And I drink protien powder in unsweetened coconut milk.
I don't binge very often anymore , but when ido I look at it on my food counter, basically my food diary.
For Instance since jan1 2018
19 fasting days of 600 cals or less.
3 binges of over 2000 cals .
8 exercise weeks of over 600cals in accumulated exercise.
So i don't sweat the binges , though I'm try my best not to binge.
I've started plank exercise as new thing to explore and master.
About every three years I pick a subject to master can be anything I feel passionate about.
7 years ago Wanted ti master jumprope , one the best exercises . I can jumprope now for3 minutes like a boxer and take 30 second break for 30 minutes . I did this at age 14 and Ive known the benefits basically al my life so always wanted it back in my life, so it wasn't like trying to learn to do it from scratch .about every five years I try to restart. Now I'm jumping again in very strong way and I'm estatic about it, because it melts fat but also circulates the lymph system , so there's the additional health benefit.
So I'm ready now to start the plank and exercise ball , I already go to the gym , but am trying to make exercise at home a ROBUST experience of my life.
So any way I was very estatic when the scale recently started to tumble, then it stopped being so exciting to see the scale move. Iguess I put my support peers back too when I lost my family members.
It's been since the first of march .and feel glad about the fat loss. So I came to tell y'all.
I'm very motivated to be much more aggressive. And get it down to 199lbs. As my next goal without a time frame.
I'm starting to date again and that's motivating too. At 50 it feels good when peop,e you're attracted to say you Good and ask to spend time together . Very motivating to be more aggressive with the fat loss.

Synergyfoo, Welcome back and my condolences on your loss. Congrats on your loss and as far as planks go, you really don't realize how long 30 or 60 seconds is until you are holding for that long in a plank. If your feeling adventurous, you can try the prone jackknife with the stability ball.
So, I have not had a good week, my weight it still the same, I have only worked out a couple of times and haven't got my steps in at all. I have, however, been on point with my calories. I just have zero energy, I don't know why but this week has kicked my a**. It's been a busy week but still I have had time to fit in exercise. just not the energy, I feel drained.

Good Morning 183.2 new low.
I may be gone for about a week. Between testing starting on Wed, busy work stuff Monday and Tuesday and taking my laptop in for repair.......But I will work hard to stay on track. It will be a challenge being away from home , going out for lunch every day. Recording my weights on a notepad every morning as well.
I hope everyone has a blessed Easter.
Synergy Foo, so sorry for your loss. Welcome back!
Stlrsgrl - Hoping for a whoosh. Sorry you are feeling drained and the scales have not budged. I know how that feels!
Nancy - Glad to see that drop! I believe below 167 had some importance for you!
Diana - so glad you have a wonderful church family; we are kind of drifting and not really engaged right now. I am Christian and my husband is agnostic. It is nice to hear all you do.
Novangel - we once had a cat that, I swear, led the new cat to her death. The day we brought in the kitten, Jasmine started pouting. She never attacked it but ignored it. About a month later she comes in and jumps on my lap all purring and loving. The new cat had got outside and had been hit by a car . We are a one cat household right now. Jangles seems perfectly happy that way and is an amazing cat.
Doitforme - thank you for the prayers. My "ask" is for clarity of vision and making the right decisions. Life is not fair and we have been blessed for many years. The only guarantee is our souls. The temporal earth is what it is.
Teri - every pinch helps!
Jendiet - The only thing I can think of is sneaking into a hot tub with epsom salts.
Kelijpa - good to hear from you again!
Ciece - hoping all is ok.

Good Morning, Everyone!
grannynancy Congrats on the new low! See you when you return. Don't forget to look for the new check-in.
The weekend will be busy!
Last night I bought a new outfit for Easter. The one I wore last year is a bit snug. I don't wear dress clothes often. I am not happy about having to buy a new outfit, but I do think it's cute on me. I think it's best to buy something new that fits and I'm comfortable in than wearing something tight and feeling even more conscience about myself. Also, not happy about the weigh in this morning. But I know it's better than it was earlier in the week, since I feel better. Yesterday while out and about I faced several challenges, but I got through them and I was in a good place, mentally about it all.
Nothing for last night, exhausted!
This Morning: Oxycise Commuter Workout
Calories for yesterday: 1535 +
Weigh In: 190
Have a Blessed day!
Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
March 31
Isaiah 55:12
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Our God is a God with a plan for His creation. Everything was created for a reason. God created us in His image, and His plan for us is to live a full, joyful, creative existence. We can best do this by keeping ourselves fit and trim and healthy. God rejoices, as does all His creation, when we live up to the potential He created in each one of us. When we succeed in our dieting attempts, we take a step toward fulfilling our purpose in life, and we go forth in joy and peace which passes any earthly joy or peace. Praise the Lord.
Today's thought: Thank you, Lord, for bringing me this far!
