Diana it is great that your Dr. confirmed what you know and I think it is great that she took the time to read your data and even recommend you keep doing what you are. I can't help but feel your Dr. could pass this knowledge onto others and help them.
stlrsgrl43 I have read the same information about so many spices I am not sure if they work or not...however everybody has different reactions...take Diana for instance and tannin's can't wait to hear how this works out
Beeps2011 9 lbs since January is terrific! you should be very very proud of yourself
So wimped out on my workout, no real excuse but eating was good today so I am not going to stress
see everyone in the am

Hi all
Not going to be doing personals. I did read but am tired after having packaged a lot of cards. But they are all done!
Diana glad to read that your dr apt went well. You are a great patient. And she sounds like a respectful dr.
Everyone else
I want to give myself recognition for having been well within normal weight for 6 years. Being a maintainer is not easy. But I work diligently to keep the lbs in check. I will never go back to my low. It was 5 lbs too thin. I think a good combo if fear and decades of info have so far worked for these 6 years. It's tough work even to maintain. Especially with this senior citizen's body metabolism lol
Today was same amount if calories as yesterday. Minus some hot chocolate. Around 1200. I expect to begin a sprint weight loss beginning 10 days before I go to see my family. That will mean no popchips. high in carbs. Will substitute baked cheese crunches. No carbs. I just want to lose 2.2 more lbs. then I will gain it eating when I am at the 2 days of family events.
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Good Morning 183.8 slight bounce up. No problem.
Ate my planned foods and got in 12,391 steps yesterday.
Today I have dog training yet again tonight. (Test April 4-7) but all I am going to do after this weekend is obedience drills and speed drills. [putting out strong hide and expecting fast alert and good stay with source]
Today is already planned. Breakfast will be greek yogurt and fruit with flax and chia. Lunch will be stir fry with tofu and bok choy, and dinner will be tuna salad. The goal will be to get in my 12,000 steps and do 1 walk fast, 1 walk with intervals. Upper body workout and lower body stretches completed.
Flower - maintaining for 6 years IS a major accomplishment. I have heard that maintenance is more work than losing.
Stlrsgrl - looking at the link on cumin but I could not find anything on that site. Interesting idea of course maybe take with grain of salt. Though not TOO much salt (hehehe) that could be a problem. I do like curries and have one planned for tomorrow and, of course, cumin is a major ingredient in curry powder. I did, however, find this and I may give it a go since I regularly eat yogurt.

Nancy - Just eating right is working towards the goal. Probably more important than the exercise.
Beeps - GREAT weight loss! I am finding the nights after our yoga I sleep like a log. Trying to incorporate a hot shower and 30 minutes of yoga routines into my pre bed time ritual. Also do take serotonin.
Jen - "just one day" or even "only 2 hours" has gotten me through a lot.
Well have to do tackle another day at work. TTYL.

Good Morning, Everyone!
Flower You have done a great job! You are right, maintaining is even more work than losing. My original low was too low for me, too. My Dr. the one I saw yesterday as well as the GP said the 160's is a good weight for me, even though it puts me with a bit higher BMI.
Last night I added on: Full Body Stretch (standing)
This Morning: Oxycise Commuter Workout
Calories for yesterday: 1535 +
No Weigh In
Have a Blessed day!

2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.
Jesus Christ arose from the dead, glorified and renewed. Before He could ascend to this glory, He had to suffer many things. Much in this life requires sacrifice and suffering before we can attain it. Ask any dieter. The road to thinness is a rugged one. Be-fore we can stand up trimmer and healthier, we must buck up and buckle down. There is very little that is pleasant about dieting, except the end result. Jesus Christ understands what it means to sacrifice better than we ever can. By our sufferings we draw closer to Christ. One day we will reign with Him.
Today's thought: The power of Christ lifts me above all suffering!

Flower, that is so awesome. Having your experience as a maintainer with us is so valuable. I love how you plan to lose the same amount you expect to gain for an event.
I ate 3 grapes, a mini Pepsi and 2 pcs popcorn off my original plan for yesterday. I didn't feel overly hungry last night...I think I'll do a higher day today. One thing about eating super low is that your stomach doesn't tolerate large quantities of food the next day.
So with the extras my kcal total was 615.
I have no plan today except to log calorie's (on off days, I noreally do not).
I weighed and had a new low of 197.8. I wish that would make me happy but it does not, I have maintained in this area for far too long!
I'm not going to let the scale beat me. I will say I was this weight in 2006 before I joined 3fc. So NOT GAINING too far beyond what I was 12 years ago is a plus.
God I want to lose this fat and shape up. I watched plank videos last night as I was going to sleep and ended up bashing myself for being a fatty and gaining weight in the first place....I know not real productive thinking.
This morning on the radio I heard "All my hope is in Jesus, Thank God my yesterday is gone" Yes Lord! Help me to focus on today enjoy the time with my boys, get some exercise and TRUST YOU with my tomorrows.

March 2018--same!
Hi Everyone,
Nancy, congrats on new low! TaDa!
Stirs, must jot a note about cumin.
Ate piece of lemon tart and 2 butter cookies family member brought. I am determined I will have NO MORE! Also ate jelly beans and some sips of chocolate almond milk.
Exercise good: the usual home exercises and 30 min. arc trainer and an hour in the pool.
225/211.6/210
Accidently erased contents of a sticky note where I have diet tips. I don't seem to be able to recover. I guess I will start from scratch.

Stlrsgrl - I added 1 tsp of cumin to my Greek yogurt with flax, chia, and dried apricots. It was better than I thought! Exotic. From the Prevention article the results on weight loss were not amazing but very good for lipid profile.

flower - good for you for maintaining. That is such a big, big "win".
Diana - it is good to have the support of the doctors and medical professionals to determine what weight will be right for you. Nice.
jendiet - yes, not gaining over a twelve year period is worth mentioning! In my 40's, I lost fat and I put on muscle, but with menopause arriving, I have put on about 20 lbs for no reason. I am on HRT and all the research says "HRT does not cause weight gain", so I do not have science backing me up - but my anecdote is that my menopause threw 20 lbs on me when I did not change anything in my diet or my exercise plan! I have (now) whittled away 9 lbs of that gain and have about 11 lbs to go. The first 9 will have been an easier loss than the next 11....and the first 9 wasn't that easy to lose. Sigh.
Teri - a dip in a pool sounds like a slice of heaven, to me.

Yesterday I lifted. Today, I cardio - I will squish it in after work. I promise!
I will also step on the scale today at the gym....sigh, it is my preference to only do this 1 x per week because otherwise my mental-game starts going "wah wah"....but this week, I stepped on the scale on Monday, will do today and then will do Saturday.
I am going on vacation next week and I think I want to go into the vacation with all the strength and might that I can. I do not expect to "lose weight" on my holiday, but I am going to really try not to gain, too.

Beeps, maintaining on vacation is a good thing. It's kind of hard too, but usually the extra activity helps. Beeps, yes hormonal changes and then synthetic? Hormones on top of that? Good job on getting rid of the 9. Muscle is so so important after menopause.
Granny, that yogurt sounds interesting. I like exotic tastes.
Terri, you can do it. I think it is great you can RATION the sweets. I struggle so much with this. It's best to learn how to include them.
I don't want you guys to think I'm mad with the scale again. I actually knew after a few more hours of sleep, the scale would be lower. Something I learned about sleep and my body. Especially when doing fast 5.
But at about 8 when I posted the scale said 197.8, but I took a nap without eating and it's now 196.6 . THAT IS MY NEW NEW LOW.
I think that is all of my premenstrual gain, so from here it will get rocky. This is where I need the resolve to keep going.
I lost 5lbs in 2 weeks before I joined 3fc for support...that was just doing low days a couple times a week and eyeballing portions...that was why I figured the 201 was Tom coming....I was that 2 weeks ago before I started....so here comes the ROCKY part of this for me.
I will bounce and cry...I will wonder if I ever really lost any weight....

Diana, I don't know how I didn't see your post, but so glad the dr. Showed you what was a good weight for you. I don't know about 135 for me yet. I'll just be glad to get in the 170s again.
OK going to go out with the boys for some exercise.

Ended up with 1738 kcal for today. I actually walked the neighborhood for .6 mIles. With the boys. Thomas did great on his electric scooter, Seth did tire out and I carried his inertia car up 2 hills, but it's fairly light...we got back and I taught Seth how to ride his scooter and even rode Thomas's for a few.
Then we did a plank workout, glad I lived through it, dread being sore though...
Ciecie, hope you are still with us??
