Good morning

Diana I am continually amazed at how great you are doing with the experiment. You are treating your symptoms! Or so it seems. Congrats on the .4 loss

grannynancy, the cronometer sounds great. Sounds like it helps a lot with accountability. Are you training your dogs with a professional dog trainer? Congrats on the loss.

Ciecie You must be so toned with all the speed walking etc that you do.

Stelrsgrl glad your back is doing better. What is NRLW?

Nancylrmn many people are reporting difficulty sleeping. Gad you got a rock painted at 4am. Hope you slept well Tuesday night.

scale was up .2 lb Tuesday morning. IDK how that happened. Tuesday I bought and ate 3/4 lb of "cod". I really do not think it was cod though. More than twice the protein and calories than I normally have. But I felt maybe the protein would push the scale down. Then I succumbed to samples at TJ's. They were fattening. The only thing I seem to be losing is motivation, lol.

Total calories for the day, around 1400. Tomorrow is another day. I hope to get back to the 1050 calories.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

Smile MARCH 2018--Moving on!

Hi!

Hope everyone has a great day.

I think about your power walk CieCie...I napped yesterday afternoon and then finally went for a walk around 6 pm in snow flurries. I wore two sweatshirts and had my hood up and my hands in the front pocket pouch. My walk is more of a waddle with my nose to the asphalt. But I am so glad I am able to walk now without being in pain.

I jumped on the scale this am...and I am down. Yeah. I am in such a hurry to get under 200, but my body is not cooperating.

225/213/210

My diet was good yesterday...I did have one pack of gummies, a half dozen large jellybeans. I had a few crackers and I lost track of the watermelon cough drops I was sucking on.

I sorted a few things in my bedroom yesterday, but I really did not make much progress.

Good Morning 188.2 down a tad (solid waste ). If I can just stay below 190 every day this week I will be delighted.

Got in 11,400 of my 12,000 steps yesterday but did not push it too hard. The pelvic floor PT has me working on "activating my glutes" and building them up - I know my quads and hamstrings are too tight and I am continuing to stretch. She is also a competitive runner, has had 4 kids and is a whisp of a woman! She said good glutes will also help me with power for walking.

I am learning so much about the pelvic floor with this PT that I am sending my daughters to her. Well I know the oldest is going and she has had to vaginal deliveries of big babies with tears. [funny those girls are as petite as can be all their lives but they started out as 9 pounders - Devin was 23" long and not fat when she was born!]. The older daughter is not having problems but what better time to start! The younger one has never had a pregnancy or issues. I will say that desk jobs wreck havoc on the body!

Flower - The dogs are search and rescue dogs. Beau is a nationally certified cadaver dog and Tilly is working on urban trailing. Every year the cadaver dogs have to recertify under a police master trainer and we have to fly one in and it is usually 3 days of testing. There are 12 hidden "remains" in various scenarios (buried, under water, on/in vehicles, in woods, in buildings, in rubble pile (usually a quarry), and with hidden distractor hides the dogs must ignore (usually roadkill). The dog and handler can make one mistake and if they make more than one they are no longer certified to work so it is very stressful for most of us. After I get him recertified, then I need to focus on Tilly but that can be at a more realistic pace. There is not really an instructor for this. I have been doing it since 2008 but it is still unnerving.

Nancy - maybe it's he time change? It has been messing with me and my normal 8 hours has been about 6. Hope it sorts out soon but lack of sleep can mess with your weight.

EDIT: Oh today is planned out at around 1100 calories. I did some small snacking yesterday (boo) that is my baaaaaaaaad issue is snacking so I need to have a snack free day today. I did not eat a lot but. I must eat according to plan to have success. [realizing sometimes you have to adjust]

Good Morning, Everyone!

Mentally, I am really struggling with this tannin "allergy" thing. It seems like I am so limited now. Even more so than years ago when I thought I had a food allergy and I eliminated whole food families. Tannins are every where. But I have to face the fact that my mouth has not been this clear in many years. It's truly amazing. I happened upon this info by accident (as we know, there are no accidents. I am very blessed to have been able to get the information I needed on this). The sites I have been getting info from, the people have migraines, they don't have reactions like me. I haven't come across anyone online that reacts like me. I'm sure there are though. I read comments that even though a food may have tannins it may not trigger a migraine for them. Meaning, one person commented that they can eat Fuji apples but not other apples. I tried to continue eating the Fuji apples, but it seemed to cause a problem for me. So I guess it will all be an experiment to determine what is OK and what is not. I have tried to eliminate as much as possible so I can keep my beloved coffee. I am hoping, in time that I can bring back some of the healthy foods that are problematic. On Saturday night my dessert used to be Greek yogurt w/blueberries. Berries have tannins. A lot of fruits have tannins, which is a shame since they are so healthy. I announced to my ladies group last night about my discovery. They already know that I eat different, but this is a whole different level. Someone brought in a tray of strawberries, grapes, etc. At this point it's off limits. Did I mention that it's overwhelming to think about this? But again, like I said, I cannot deny with how much I have improved. Some of my closest friends at church, whom I have complained to about my mouth situation, confirmed that things have cleared up. Also, I forgot to mention that a lot of cheese has annatto color to make it yellow/orange. I have read that annatto has tannins. (I think I mentioned this about supplements, too) Anyways, so I have to keep that in mind. I don't eat a lot of cheese, when when I do I need to get one that doesn't have color added to it. Did I mention that this is overwhelming? And again, it might seem like I have gone off the deep end and gone to extreme, but I just can't deny it based on how much healing I have had.

Last night I added on: Full Body Stretch (standing)
This Morning: Oxycise Commuter Workout

I think the sodium in the ham got me.

Calories for yesterday: 1535 +
Weigh In: 188.2
Up: .4 (I am up what I was down yesterday)

Have a Blessed day!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

March 14

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Will the diet ever end? That question gets asked an awful lot. What starts out as a good idea soon becomes torture. Giving up seems to be such a good idea. It's at those times that we need the most strength. We need something to pull us through the really tough times. The love of God is just what we need. God will give us strength and courage and will help us fight off the temptation to quit. Call upon the Lord, and He will uphold you, He will strengthen you, He will stay with you, no matter how tough the diet gets.

Today's thought: If I can make it through the tough times, I can make it through anything!

Good Morning everyone, flower, NRLW is "The New Rules of Lifting for Women is a food and exercise/weight lifting program. I don't follow the food part but I love the exercise part of the book. I completed it once before, it took approx. 6 months and it made a huge difference in my body. even when the scale wouldn't move, i would lose inches in my body. It helps build muscle and strength, not like a body builder muscle, just tones the body to make it look, not so mushy.

Anywho, I never did get to start stage 2 yesterday, I spent the day cleaning and rearranging my moms bedroom, which was really a workout in itself so i am aiming to do that today, I did see 209 on the scale this morning, I hope it sticks for my weigh in Sunday. My calories have been around 1000 everyday so doing well in the category. Everyone is doing so well in here, WTG.

Good morning everyone
WI was back down to pre-trip weight 167.2 but I have to say a portion of that had to be my body eliminating the trip LOL
I did have trouble relaxing last night two and ....before you say I know....a few cocktails hoping that would make me sleepy...it didn't so then I took two herbal supplements that did the trick according to my fitbit I managed 7 hours and 1 min of sleep with 4 of those in light sleep and 59 min in deep sleep, 1 hr 12 min in REM and 1hr 2 min awake...so happy with that I feel pretty good this am.

Granny you stress level has got to be off the charts for this recert!

Diana you sound as if you are on the right path to keep eliminating tannin from you diet. I do hope you are keeping a log/record of which ones seem to trigger the tingle and how severe so one day you may be able to re-introduce some back into your diet.

Teri000 you weight loss is happening at the pace you body can handle it sounds like you are doing it all right

flower you only had a nibble that little baby up is water I just know it

stlrsgrl43

Hi I'm glad you are feeling better this morning. I haven't started keeping a log, yet. My goal right now is complete elimination, except for the coffee. But I will need to do that when I start trying things again.

HI all.

Suprisingly, the weight I'm starting my revamped commitment is 199.8. About 1 week ago the scale read 201.6. I won't get excited until the 180s show up again AND THEN it's a real PAIN to move past.

I definitely had a high day yesterday, but I didn't realize I was eating so low. I normally eat around 2500 calories avg and maintain.

I do not want my metabolism to be reset.

Today is going to be a low day, I'm shooting for 500-700. That's only so I don't beat myself up about not eating 500.

My mood plays a factor and because of insomnia, I take melatonin, it can make me grumpy. I woke up to the neighbors cutting down a big beautiful shade tree I love....pissed me off. It's on their land....blah, blah, blah.

I feel like Jonah sulking because his shade tree died.
_____________
Ciecie, sorry the weather is bad, glad you are trying to keep up your steps. Is Leslie Sansone a walk in place video? Are you in the North East which is getting hammered?

Diana, my heart goes out to you. I hate food prisons. I once was an organic only vegan....it was tiresome. I pray you are just delivered from these allergies. I agree a liver detox may help tremendously. It could be your body is too stressed to deal with tannins.

Stlr, great job on cleaning and organizing. I am thinking about revamping my kids room with storage cubicles. It is very big and the toys are just in boxes...I think storage cubes and canvas bins would be cute. I just know it would be a lot of work and it costs a few hundred to do the way I want. Sounds like this exercise routine is sustainable. My siblings are all cross fitters and I'm like. Nah, I'm not dedicating myself to that much exercise. I need to find something that fits my lifestyle and I see results.

Nancy, congrats on reaching pretrip weight. I haven't seen the 160s since I was vegan. Glad you managed some sleep. I would love to see your rock!

Granny, that is so cool, but I imagine it must be very stressful, I pray that you have peace and I pray that God directs your steps to help the dogs and your son to have the best outcome. Granny that is interesting about that training. Those are big babies. I've never had a kid naturally so, I can't even imagine.

Terri, congrats on being down and you are inspiring about walking despite conditions. Just like ciecie. I need to find a way to take a walk, it's relaxing and doing HIIT is such a stress reliever for me. We have hills here.

Flower, it takes 3500 calories of unused food to gain one lb. That Cod sounds good. Occasionally I crave seafood.

I don't want to lose this post so I can't figure out who asked about the calorie cycling. Yes, it is my sorry attempt at 5:2. I do also usually fast breakfast with a cup of tea on low days to spend time praying and reading scripture and responding to prayer requests from friends on facebook. I was doing 5:2 and not watching calories except my 500 days and my back boos were disappearing. I stopped because my weight wasn't budging....silly me.

Hi again everyone, I finished my workout and did some walking on the treadmill.
Jendiet Good luck with that, I like the cubicle idea, wish I could do that in my mothers room but it's a small room. Look at the positive, your weight is heading in the right direction....down. One day at a time, right.

Good afternoon
Will do personals later. Morning weight: gained another .6 lb. so far this diet is going well. Gaining each day. Oh well. Thinking positive. Other things are more important than body size. Will diet more rigorously. Always a silver lining

Hope you have a great rest of the day.
