Oh dammit how time flies!!!

Novangel I love that channel (I.D) I DVR Swamp Murders LOL

I have been going through it lately! I had a job offer from my old boss and I was totally taking it...even gave notice at the temple. My current boss asked if they paid me more would I stay and for some reason I decided that they couldn't afford to give me much and said no. This was last Wednesday and I was off 4 days after that...got back to work Monday and something (more like somebody) totally just, well, NUDGED me and got me thinking all of a sudden I just didn't want to leave my job! I had been praying over making the right decision and then POW! I all of a sudden just couldn't do it and when my boss came in I let him know I was interested in staying and he was so HAPPY I felt bad that I'd done that to him! LOL whatever! Long story short I got a promotion to Senior Accountant and a 7K raise! GOD IS GOOD!

There is nothing like the power of prayer...I've always known it.

So I've been okay food-wise and weight stays around 156-158. Vegas in less than 2 weeks so I'm going to see if I can get below 156 by then. Today's menu:
Brunch - ate at Mimi's Cafe: egg white santa fe omelet and roasted potatoes, sourdough toast.
Dinner - making a mediterranean salad w/chicken

have a great evening!

Syckgirl Congratulations on your big raise! That is amazing! Since they were willing to increase your salary in that way must mean that they really appreciate you and your work. It's so wonderful to be appreciated in that way. Go you!

Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Weekend!

Last night I did: Full Body Stretch (standing)
Nothing for this morning

Calories for yesterday: 1540 +
Weigh In: 183.6
Down: .4

Have a great day and start to your weekend!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

October 13

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Grace was surprised. The hostess had offered her dessert and she had declined without even the slightest pang of remorse. Dessert had always been Grace's favorite type of food. Giving up dessert had been the worst part of her diet. Now, though, she found that she had declined without really caring. What a breakthrough! She felt she had a fighting chance. She had resisted temptation so long that it wasn't tempting any longer. Grace felt stronger than at any other point in her diet. Thank God. She was going to make it, after all!

Today's thought: The more I turn down, the more my weight goes down!

Good Morning. 233.4 On target for between a 2 and 3 lb loss this week. This was an uptick from yesterday morning of 233

A little off track yesterday because I was on a search call. Mr Fitbit says I burned 4839 Calories [I was over two hours at peak HR of about 150 and two in cardio mode ] I would up eating about 1450 calories also major sodium bump. I ate estimated 3500mg of sodium when I normally eat about 1300 ... Feeling well today.

Today's planned food is back to normal with yogurt/potatoes for breakfast -- salad for lunch - meat and two veggies for dinner.

1094 calories, 76 grams protein, 78 grams net carbs, 48 grams fat and Omega 6: Omega 3 = 2.9

Syckgirlsfv Congratulations for the raise and following your heart, sometimes it is not the money but where you feel you will be happiest

WI down 1.0 so now at 162.2 but I am still up 2lbs from my normal of 4 months.
WO none today, yesterday afternoon I had the prep work down for a dental implant, if you ever had 'phase' one done or read the steps you know it was not a walk in the park. My jaw is still a bit swollen and I dont want to take a chance on the stitches/clot breaking no strenuous exercise. But because of this yesterday afternoon and last night I could only eat soft and no chewing on right side (actually no chewing on right side for the next 3-4 months until the actual implant is in place) So ended up with Safeway chow mein yikes. Carb count was somewhere around 50 way high for me.

Got to run will check in later this afternoon for rest of personals

I am about to whine so close you eyes!

Antibiotics make me sick to my stomach....and I have 5.5 more days left

Ok open your eyes now

Tonight more semi soft food, I just don't want to take the chance of poking that side of my mouth with some hard type food.

Drinking lots of water but have to say my carbs will be up even if my calorie count is down....hey maybe this is how to tweak my eating????? Only the scale knows for sure boohaahaa

On the funnier side, I got my nails done yesterday and I love the polishes that change color when hot or cold. So I asked for a red and when she was done she said well the red will turn orange and I though hmmm yeah halloween colors cool

I'm so happy today. I went out to dinner last night with a friend. We ate at Sharkys. I had wild caught salmon and organic roasted vegetables. I haven't wanted to eat there since June. The last time I ate at Sharkys, I had a migraine headache the next day. I am very sensitive to MSG and I think some restaurants don't realize the seasonings they use sometimes have MSG in the ingredients. Just a small amount sets me off.

So, after clean eating for several months, I decided it was time to take a chance and eat at Sharkys again. Success! I did not get a migraine. I did have a reaction, but it was very mild. My throat swelled a little bit, however, I drank a lot of water and the swelling went down after a few hours and I feel great!

Nancy, this sounds like a good time for yogurt. Good bacteria. Soft. Can be low carb if you choose well.

nancy, get greek yogurt with probiotics or prebiotics in it. also breakstone/knudsens cottage cheese with liveactive in it. liveactive is what breakstones/knudsens calls it's probiotics.

Good Morning. 232.8 New Low

I am still a bit worn out, messed up from the search on Thursday. Really pushed too hard. Body is recovering but I still hurt all over. BP up a bit after but within normal range. Hoping to flush out today, walk my 10,000 steps and 12 flights but at a leisurely pace.

Today 1241 calories, 70 protein, 111 carbs, 53 fat and Omega 6:3 of 3.3

Syckgirl, congrats on the job promotion

Nancy, never had an implant but a root canal and crowns are enough for me. No fun. Fiber also helps keep the probiotics happy. Some Konsyl fiber would not be a bad idea. Same thing with some oatmeal [I know you are doing low carbs though]

Good Morning, Everyone!

Calories for yesterday: 1540 +
Weigh In: 183.4

Have a great day!

October 14

1 Corinthians 10:12
Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Peter dressed for the dinner. His friends tried to tell him he shouldn't go, but he ignored them. He'd been doing great on his diet. He was in total control. He knew there would be wonderful and exotic food where he was going, but he could handle it. Too bad he forgot that when he got there. The temptation was too great for him. Before he realized what was happening, he was stuffed. In one day, he blew a couple of weeks of hard work. We can't afford to get cocky when we diet. Each day is a new struggle all its own. Ask God for daily help. Avoid situations where temptation prevails. The Lord will be sure to help you, whenever you let Him.

Today's thought: I will steer clear of calorie traps!
