Good morning all!
167.3 this morning
I thought I posted last night, maybe it’ll show up later. I made this zucchini bread that came out really moist, not pleasant, I had an idea to slice it and bake it like biscotti, it came out good, not as crispy as biscotti, but good and much more palatable than it was, so happy about that, breakfast saved!!

Diana i’ve been using 5 lb weights for a few weeks, i’m still an absolute beginner with weights but starting to see and feel a little difference in my arms, i’m doing a 30 day plank challenge, just got up to 30 seconds. First week done, I like it.
Hope everyone has a great day

Good morning. 240.4 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Now it has been 5 days of hovering. Yesterday was good and compliant around 1200 calories. Only real difference is the walking that I have been doing and I know that encourages water build up some. But I also know I am not as cold as I was getting. So that's a good thing. Patience. Body is really fighting that 240 point.

It didn't look like it was going to work out. Becky wanted to lose a few pounds before the dance. It wasn't any big deal, but that made it worse. She'd had almost six weeks, and in that time she hadn't lost any weight at all. She kept telling herself she had plenty of time, but time had slipped away. Now it was too late, and she felt terrible. Why had she been so stupid? Why hadn't she taken it more seriously? Not only did she feel bad because she was overweight, but she also felt guilty and hopeless. Somehow she had to learn to knuckle down and stick to what she needed to do. With God's help, maybe she could.
Today's thought: Today I lose weight; tomorrow's too late!

Good morning all,
spnfullasgr.
The scale bounced back up to 219 this morning after being OP and working out diligently . I know I need to start cutting back on sodium. I am very salt sensitive and even though I've been OP, I'm eating way too much sodium. My rings & shoes are so tight right now. Today will be lots of water and NO Skinny Pop popcorn.
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!
Today's Log
B: English muffin, Canadian bacon, 1 sl RF cheese, skim milk, coffee
L: Salad, shrimp, WW Pretzel Blast
D: TBD
S: grapes, apple
Exercise: Walk

Gettinfit - I hear you on the sodium ........ it is so easy to get too much sodium and so hard to get enough potassium. Bread is also loaded with the stuff. Once I quit bread my daily sodium intake dropped to 500-800mg a day so I have to remind myself to eat enough except yesterday I had 4 oz of lunch meat which jacked me up to 1500mg which is still not too high but today I see the doctor and see about formally officially getting off BP medicine or at least killing the diuretic.

Good morning to everyone!
Scale up to 162.2 this am, I have not been logging and when I look back the past 5 days I have been over indulging in my carbs. At the fair I ate a hamburger bun, and breakfast that morning a slice of toast, the day before pre-packaged egg rolls. I am sure this is why my weight has stalled and even gained. I had started putting bad carbs in my diet and going back to my old ways. So this morning I am recommitting myself to the painstaking task of recording everything and staying away from processed foods that I gave up for so long
Thank you in advance for the warm hugs LOL

this whole water weight thing is driving me crazy...yesterday I was up 2 pounds from the weekend, where I only had some wine in the evening but I did have some broasted chicken after church so figured that was it since I'm sure it was high in sodium. I was 157.4 on Friday and 159.4 yesterday! I took a CoQ 10 yesterday and went up another .2. Anybody have any experience with COQ 10? Every time I take it I think I gain water so I don't take it. DH wants me to take it. ARGH!
Yesterday I had cereal, chicken, edamame, corn, popcorn...salad with chicken and beets for dinner. How in the world does water weight go up? I also walked a couple miles with DH to a neighborhood where a neighbor said she saw a cat that looked like my missing guy but we couldn't find that cat when we got there.
I'm frustrated again. Here's my plan today:
b - TJ's high fiber cereal w/almond milk
s - lentils
l - TBD we have a lunch meeting today
s - prunes
d - TBD
I have no other plans to eat...I have to do something drastic!

Sykgirlfsv - I take CoQ10 religiously -if you take a statin it is absolutely a must-do but if not, not as important. When I get off the pravastatin, I am going to drop down to 100mg a couple of times a week. Perhaps for a vegetarian. Organ meats are a good source of it but, as a society, we hardly eat those anymore. More relevant for older people than younger people too. The supplements are way over the top in amount they provide.

grannynancy does it cause you to retain water? My doctor did prescribe me statins because high cholesterol runs in my family, but I didn't fill the prescription. I am sure I can control my cholesterol without them at this point.
The temple is feeding us for a lunch meeting regarding the high holidays and feedback from Rosh Hashanah. I don't know what it will be...I really hope it isn't to sodium heavy!!!

Skckgirlfsv - I can't tell a difference one way or the other and I have had times when I did not take them. I would never take a statin without them but since you don't take statins.....mayoclinic.org has a solid write up on it without any hype (sums up studies etc).

What's the story with Statins? I take 20mgs of Lipitor a few years now. Why do you have to take CoQ10?
Spnfull
I did my Jillian 30 Day Shred but hoping tomorrow is cool enough outside to run. I'm pretty sure the heat wave is over for now but it's going to get hot again next week. Goodnight.

https://www.healthline.com/health/co...statins#risks4
My husband has had two small heart attacks (fortunately with no permanent muscle damage or scarring ... very minor.. right coronary artery stents were enough as he did not hesitate when he felt symptoms..the 2nd time we went to a local hospital and they were going to send him home and I asked if they did the troponin test and they had not and lo and behold when they did, next thing you know, he was on an ambulance to a bigger hospital where they found a blockage) and his cardiologist strongly supports the use of CoQ10 because of the statins he is on. So it is not, for us, just internet "wisdom" but a board certified cardiologist
