Well, phooey, I didn’t go swimming as I planned, but tomorrow’s another day!

L: guacamole on romaine leaves
S: a few walnuts, pistachios and macadamia nuts
D: wild frozen shrimp from Trader Joe’s seasoned and cooked in lemon juice, evoo, and wine; steamed asparagus spears, roasted sweet potatoes, one glass of wine. (The shrimp was so good! I plan to make this one again!)

nancy A long Sunday hike sounds heavenly. Good for you for treating yourself to a manicure! Good luck on your workout tomorrow!

Have a Marvelous Monday everybody!

HI and welcome to the check-in.

Magistra I hope you can get that swim in today. I couldn't swim on Saturday because we had storms here. I really missed it.

Kelijpa Good luck getting back at it today. How is Hunter? Cody is having some sort of allergy that's affecting his eyes. I need to make an appointment with the Vet for him today.

This Morning: Oxycise in the Office 2

Calories for yesterday: 1360 +
Weigh In: 183
Up: .4 (swelling )

Have a great day and start to your week!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

July 31

Proverbs 10:25
As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

When the group began, there were sixteen people involved. They all made a contract to lose twenty pounds by spring. Spring was less than two weeks away, and the group was down to seven members. As Jean walked along the sidewalk toward the building where her group met, she noticed some small saplings bending in the stiff March breeze. Some had broken off, but a few determined little plants held on for dear life. 'I'm like that,' Jean thought. 'Most of the others have given up, but I'm going to hang in there, no matter how stiff the challenge.' Perseverance is a huge part of a successful diet. Continually ask God for commitment to your cause. He is good to give it.

Today's thought: I'm determined to make it, no matter what!

Good afternoon all,

Diana - My prayers are with your hubby and I hope your swelling goes down. Hope his ultrasound is good.

moumallick6 -

everyone.

I had a so/so weekend. The scale is stuck on 220 so I need to work harder at staying 100% OP this week. The humidity here is lower today so I am planning to go for a walk after work. I know this will help to get the scale cooperating.

Have a great Monday everyone.

Hello! I've missed being able to respond. Our internet has been very spotty. I'm afraid to even go on too long here before we lose it. Darn you Comcast, I don't get how these cable companies get away with these monopolies.

I decided to just maintain for a few weeks as things were hectic here. I do better when it's just me and hubby and no one else. I am still exercising. I measured and I am going down in my waist and hips even as I maintain, so that's exciting!

Hello everyone! Hopefully once the internet is back and not just intermittently I'll check in with everyone.
