Proportions and measurements
Hi all.
I have lost weight, going from 186 being my highest to my current 138. However my hips are still 40 inches or close to it. I am 5 foot 5 inches. This is not a good look. I feel like no matter how hard work and diet, it makes no difference because I will always be wide on the bottom. It makes me really sad and discouraged. |
Have you worked on toning at all? Or has your loss been purely diet? I've noticed a lot of my body composition changes have been since I started doing more cardio.

I have huge hips too. I can't recall how big mine are around that weight, but if it was around 40 it wouldn't startle me. I'm 44 right now. If it's not too unhealthy for you maybe you could lower your goal weight some? Maybe to 115-120? I see you are a little bit taller than me. I'm not sure if that is too thin to be a good look for you, but when I was that weight I felt it was necessary to shrink my huge hips.
Other idea is maybe dressing? I like long tops that go past the largest part of my hip, best look for me because I also have longer legs and a shorter torso. I suppose there is exercise but I hate that the results are temporary and you have to keep at it or you lose it xD. Ultimately we are screwed by the big booty genetics :/ |
