The stupidest reason to overeat ever
 

I'm just pretty mad at myself. I don't generally overeat, my problem with food lies elsewhere,but today I did it. I was making gingerbread cookies for the weekend for a party and burned a batch. Edible, but not something I'd serve. But I didn't want to throw them out, so I put them on a separate plate to have as a treat here and there for the following days. But then I had a shortage of plates and I could not think of anything better to do than to clear this one. I feel sick. They weren't even that good. I didn't even want to eat them, I just wanted the plate and didn't want them to go to waste. I can't decide if it's funny or sad.

I've done very similar things, many times. I've had to keep telling myself, it's okay to put it away for later, it's okay to freeze it, it's okay to give it to someone else, and worst case scenario, it's better to throw it away than give myself something I don't need just for the sake of making a point.

I don't know where you live so this might not be practical, but my local wildlife often benefits when mistakes are made in the kitchen.
