How are you today? not much going on here yet, but I will be up and running soon!! Still have to have breakfast and exercise, then off to run a few errands and be a wrk by noon.....but, tomorrow after work I am heading to Nashville!! just for the afternoon and evening.....CANNOT WAIT!! Hi Gang,
Me again. :) I am happy to report a 1.6 pound loss this week. :D I was a tad disappointed when I got on the scale because I have been working out so hard this week, but I am not going to let my self feel bad about a loss. I am doing it slow and steady. And I feel better than I have felt in years!!!

I went to the Dr. this morning and sure enough she put me on thyroid medicine. I am still going to see a specialist in November, but for now she wants to start me on synthroid. She was very happy with my weight loss!! I never realized the symptoms of thyroid problems but I do have a lot of them - tired, weak, irritable, abnormal cycles.... I just thought all these things were being overweight. She agreed that since I have been working hard on exercise and eating healthy for 7+ months now that some of the symtoms may be the thyroid. We shall see....

2Cute --- Isn't it a great feeling to see your results in ways like that??? Good Job! Keep it up!!! :)

I thing about SaraJoy all the time. I would love to know if she is doing ok.

It looks like my laptop is going to work for me today so I better get a few things done.

I did want to share that after I got off line last night I went (skinny dipping) :o
It was so much fun. It was cloudy here so no moonlight or stars... but also no way for anyone else to see me. :lol:

I woke up this morning and an exercised for an entire hour. :D
It is suppose to rain here off and on for several days... we need it... so I wanted to be sure to get a good workout in. In fact... it is raining as I type.

Good golly, Miss Chickies! :wave: Where the heck is everyone? I came in to check before doing my paperwork a few hours ago and we were waaaaaaay the heck down on the page and now we were still waaaaay the heck down on the page and no one else had posted since I was here then. Geeez oh Weeeez!!!!

I'm getting tired of coming in here at night and telling you all that I've worked too hard. I'm sure that you're tired of hearing it too. :o But......I really worked hard today! :lol:

My partner said we were going to finish this one wall before we took a lunch break. Well, along about noon, SHE decided that that wasn't the greatest idea she'd ever had! :D So I made her wait until the wall was done. She wanted to have a BIG mouth about it, she was going to wait for lunch! :yes:

We did manage to finish up the project today though and that is a good thing. Now I have 2 days off! WooHoo!

Well, I'm lyin'......sorta. :^: Honey and I have to work tomorrow night. It's an upscale restaurant job....oh how tough that's going to be! :lol: He asked me out on a date for tomorrow night. So when this job came up, I told him if I got it, I would pick up dinner, but he'd have to spring for the rest!

Actually, I mentioned in chat but I don't think I said anything here. Two weeks ago Saturday we had 'date night' and on the way home ....... whoa, let me back up the boat.

Many many years ago, when we were just kids (dating) I commented to honey about how wonderful his mom and dad looked when they were dancing. Honey said that they had taken ballroom dance lessons. So after we were married (still many many years ago :D) WE took ballroom dance lessons..twice (first time didn't take :lol: )

Well, anyway, I love to waltz with my honey and everytime we're at a wedding or whatever I always request a waltz so we can dance.

So, long story short (I know, too late :( ) on the way home from our date two weeks ago, honey pulls off the road into a parking lot, says get out of the van, opens up the back hatch ('cuz that's where the speakers are) , grabs me and begins to waltz with me. What a sweetie!!! See, just when I think there isn't a romantic bone left in the man.....he surprises me! :yes:

Guess I better run. Today was pay day and I'm sure some of the bill people would like to get paid this month. Have a good one....and GET IN HERE AND POST!!!! :drill:

We are headed to the Davis Kidd Bookstore in Hillsboro, a hobby shop, Jane is into trading Baseball cards via the internet. Will hit at least one antique shop I hope, and then out to dinner. I am already planning on what I will have, I feel like I have to have a game plan when I go out like that, especially to Nashville, or any big city, ahhhhh the restaurants. Hey everyone :)

Today has been the looooonnnnnggggeeesssst day at work! Yesterday the computer went fritzy, and it turns out it was the power supply... again. This will be the third on this system. Anyway, since I couldn't do any invoicing or even the deposit, they asked me to clean. I scrubbed walls, windowsills, counters and the entire bathroom, then I swept and mopped. There was still plenty of time, so I started doing all sorts of weird, nit-picky type cleaning. By the time I was done, even the Rolodex and stapler were bereft of fingerprints! :lol: I dislike cleaning, but boredom is much, much worse. Of course, the moment I decide I've done enough and decide to take a break, in comes my corporate boss and catches me reading a magazine. I was so embarrassed! :(

Food was really good today. I was up 5 lbs. yesterday morning (no stress, this is supposed to happen), and I'm back down 2 of those as of this morning. I should be able to get the other 3 off in another 48 hours. Then back to eating normally again. I hope this phase doesn't last long. I really want to get back to losing weight again! I want it so bad, I passed up the plate of no-bake cookies a friend brought over this evening. I asked DH to put them in a baggy in the freezer. I'll have one in two days. :)

I'm supposed to be getting out of here and writing my next opinion column (as DH keeps reminding me...), but I had to comment first on Pam's beautiful picture. Funny, but you look just as warm and wonderful as I had pictured in my mind! :) How brave of you all to post your pictures up. I'm not quite ready yet, and I can't even decide why.

I fell asleep watching a movie so I had a short nap... just long enough to wake me up. Ugh

Thin... I am soooo jealous. I KNEW your honey was a romantic. He goes to bed & breakfast.. mystery dinners and weekends... and he just looks romantic to me. LOL I always think of him in that outfit with the cigar on the staircase. He looked so cool... and you did too.
I was going to copy and paste your story and Tina's and email them to my DH but then I thought... why haven't "I" done anything romantic for him ?? Kind of like calling the kettle black.. so I just sit here and feel jealous instead. LOL
My hubby invited me to go gambling with him Thursday night... he dropped me off at the door and I didn't see him again until he picked me up at the door an hour later. :rolleyes: Just made me want to jump his bones. :lol: NOT !!!! Oh well... we can't all be lucky as you two.

Connie... no special plans here for the weekend. Sunday and Monday we are suppose to go see our daughter in OKC. Otherwise... nothing special... it is suppose to rain here all weekend. WE NEED IT !!! I will have to find a time to get in my swim somehow.

Pam.. tell Jane I have some REALLY OLD cards that my 93 year old father gave me before he passed. He must have had several hundred. He divided them up between us 4 kids. He saved them since a child. He had some really good ones.

Andria... you sound as lucky as me. Work like a trojan horse.. and then get caught reading a magazine. :o I felt so sorry for you. Hopefully you showed them all the hard work you did.

Pam - since it is Labor Day weekend, you might want to check out the Tenn Fairgrounds while you're in Nashville - it's on Nolensville Road (I don't know how familiar you are with Nashville) and see if the flea market is open this weekend. I haven't heard but it wouldn't hurt to check.

They have flash flood warnings out. First we are in a 110 degree draught... now floods.

We survived the sailing! I'm happy to say that all three of us managed to earn our sailing certificates! We decided to bring our son with us at the last minute and we're both so glad that we did...we had a blast! This was our 20th anniversary gift to each other and it was perfect, having him along! We had great weather, a wonderful instructor, a beautiful B&B, lots of good meals and...the best part...I DIDN'T GAIN ANY WEIGHT! I guess sailing must burn a LOT of calories, because we did NOT skimp on meals! I must say though, that we weren't eating in between meals and we weren't eating junk...just 3 squares a day...okay...and maybe an ice cream cone at night! We went to the boardwalk two nights in a row. I went on every single scary ride with my son...including the one called "Sling Shot," where they strap you inside this ball and literally sling shot you into the sky! :yikes: We did "Free Fall" too, where they haul you up god knows how many stories, and drop the car, so that it plummets toward earth at an alarmingly high speed. Those and any roller coasters or spinning rides that we could find...I was just so glad that I was able to fit in the seats! That's what made the rides so scary...me thinking that the locks wouldn't hold against my weight and that I'd be propelled into the ocean from WAY up in the sky! Well, I guess that would be better than going SPLAT on the boardwalk!

I'm sorry that I never PM'd you that info, 2cute...consider it done! Are they in this area? I;m glad mom has a better roommate, sad as her situation is. BTW...woo hoo...skiny dippin' mama! :o
