I wasn't sure where to put this thread so I might as well throw it in here. I just got back from my doctor's appointment and as much as I try to explain stuff to my husband and friends and stuff, nobody quite gets it because they aren't going through it. I had blood work last year but didn't take it all too seriously. I ended up gaining about 20 pounds instead. Now this year I went back for a check up and had some more blood work. I've lost about 10-15 of those 20 pounds I've gained. I am still pre-diabetic and I have high cholesterol. My doctor is giving me 3 months to get my crap together basically or I have to go on cholesterol medicine. I also am going on metformin now and monitoring my blood sugar. But some of my numbers have also gotten better...my dr said she can tell I have been putting in the work. A lot of this is overwhelming, although I was honestly expecting worse....so I guess that's why I wanted to make a new thread because I doubt I'm alone in this. Thanks for the support everyone, it really helps.
