Monday Weigh In-er's Thread

I thought I'd start a thread for everyone who weighs in weekly on Mondays :)

Posts will look like this:

SW & Date You Began:
CW & Date: (which will be each Monday):
GW:

Let's have some Monday motivation!

Starting 08/01/2016

Feel free to introduce yourself first! :grouphug:

My name is Jessica, I'm 36 y/o and live in Texas with my wife, our fur daughter (A 5 year old Australian Shepherd mix and 4 geriatric cats LOL).

I have been on my weight loss journey since October 2014 and have lost 91 pounds. I have 52 pounds left to my goal weight. I do IF (Intermittent Fasting) 5:2 plan and am mindful daily of my carbs because I am diabetic. I also have Celiac Disease, an Autoimmune Thyroid Disorder, and Fibromyalgia. So sometimes the cards can feel stacked against me. But I keep pluggin' along :dizzy:

I follow approximately a 1400-1500 calorie a day diet on non fasting days. Every so often on weekends, I'll have cheats just because it's summer and we're in the pool, which equals fun food time and friends LOL. Temptation is hard to resist all the time after all ;)

While I'd like to be at my goal weight by Christmas (52 pounds left to go), that's probably not feasible because I've been losing pretty slowly. So my goal is to be at my UGW by my birthday in April :carrot:

I'm a writer by passion and a Chemical Dependency Counselor by profession.

and... I'm a self professed hippie - HAHA.

That's it about me. I'd love to get to know you and lets get our Monday Motivation on (starting Monday 08/01/2016)

:dust:

:welcome:

I'd be happy to join!

No intro bc I'm a woman of great mystery. ;)

I have a "biggest loser" type challenge with my family going and we weigh in on Mondays and Thursdays. (I personally weigh myself each morning but only share the data from those days). I started my weight loss journey about a year ago exactly. I lost ~45 pounds between July and December. Then I kept it off until early spring, and then I gained 10 pounds back. I got serious about losing again recently and have pulled 2 off. It is hard for me to diet in the summer because I feel like I am always out of town or doing fun outdoor things on the weekends- maintaing means I have to work hard all week to make up for the weekends and losing means I need to calorie count even on the weekends.

I currently eat ~1,300 calories a day. I am looking to lose 10 more pounds by October 1 and 15 total by Christmas time.

SW: 178
CW: 176
GW: 160

JesikaBeth I also have an australian shepherd! He turns 3 today! We also foster dogs so there are usually 2 in the house- the dog in my photo is a foster dog we had last winter. And we have 3 cats who have varied opinions of the aussie.

I work in healthcare administration.

Best of luck to all!!

Count me in

I had a baby about 5 months ago and have about 15 lbs to lose. I find myself binge eating at least 3 days a week or more and weekly weigh in accountability would be helpful for me.

I had one really bad binge this week, but still lost. I know most of this is just water weight though and it will slow from here on out. But I'm pretty proud. I hope others had success this week.

Welcome Jessica. I'm new here too. Good luck with your weight loss journey !

I had a bad Monday morning weigh in...179 yikes! But I am back on track!

Great job getting back on track, sometimes we slip up for sure, but it's all about consistantly getting back up and going at it again. You can do it!

Hi, guys!

I'm gonna use my original SW so it can remind me of the progress I'm making. I think that'll help keep my motivation high even during those inevitable weeks when my weight goes down only a drop or even goes up instead. I weigh daily but what makes that bearable for me is that I keep in mind the big picture. I know that weight loss for me is a curvy path. ;)

SW May 2016: 162.5
CW: 152.1 (My Mon weight and I'm still there.)
GW: 115

I hope you're well, JesikaBeth!

So no loss at all this week, but at least I didn't gain. I had one bad binge, but I'm becoming more aware of what and eat how much, which is good. A cheat meal does not need to be a binge, I need to get control of that one. 😁

175.5...I was lower during the week but 4 less than last Monday at least!
