Could really use some help

I am trying to find a good calorie and exercise tracking site that has both website and an app, also has a scanner. Could I please get some ideas of what you people use and which one you like and why?

Thanks for your help.

www.myfitnesspal.com has all of those and it's free! I like the recipe builder best, but that's just because I'm a batch cooker/freezer.

I have to agree with Munchy here!! Myfitnesspal is great and easy to use. I love it and use it everyday :)

My Fitness Pal has all the features you mentioned. It has a very large database for selecting foods and exercise, but also allows you to enter your own foods and values. You can enter in recipes and it will calculate calories and nutrients per serving. You can also choose to view your nutrition on a weekly basis to find the average of calories, etc. during a day or week. I love to go the the forum and read the goal posts. It has a lot of users. I use it religiously to track all my food.

Is it easy to make friends on there?

I don't use any of the friends options there nor do any posting. I set my profile to private and just use it for personal.

Where do you find the restaurants? I notice Lose It has them.

You can add the food and search the database for whatever restaurant item you're looking for...and if it's not on MFP, you can put it in. It's an amazing tool. I have 389 consecutive days logged as of today.

Also, when you select "Add food", look up at the top of the app near the barcode there is an exclamation point looking icon and it will list restaurants near by and you can scroll the map around to search for more restaurants with data on the app. Select the restaurant if it has data available and there are entries posted with calorie count. If you select that item, then you have a check mark to add that to your food diary.

I love my fitbit clip, and I use the fitbit app to track. It has a app, scanner and IMO is easy to use
