Thank you for the welcome!
I weighed in at 149.6 this morning - wrong direction!

PandaCupcake 02-03-2018 01:20 PM

The scale finally moved.
140.4

Miss Fitt 02-04-2018 02:14 PM

The scale moved for me, too....in the wrong direction, again. 150.6 this morning. I'm starting to feel desperate. I guess if this keeps up, I'll have to move to the Escaping the 150's thread.

Arrgh

Stuck at 150 for a week now! Running an 800 calorie deficit everyday...so frustrated!!

Princessroja 02-06-2018 02:07 PM

Sounds like we're all in the same place. :(

Last night I decided I'm totally rebooting. Plateau has now been three weeks and I almost quit last night. Instead, what I decided to do was reboot as if I had never lost any weight before and act like everything was new. I figure that'll help any habit creep going on and kick the discouragement too. So far it's working, at least as far as the discouragement goes. Started using myfitnesspal to log things and doing some different stuff for my workouts. We'll see how it goes.

Miss Fitt 02-06-2018 06:32 PM

I went down a little, 150.1 this morning.

Good for you for not quitting, Princessroja. Plateaus suck, that's for sure....but, we have to keep trying, don't we....

Miss Fitt 02-07-2018 11:13 AM

149.7 this morning

Princessroja 02-07-2018 12:25 PM

Whoop! That's good news, Miss Fitt.

For my part, down a bit to 148.6 from yesterday's 149.0.

Miss Fitt 02-07-2018 05:54 PM

Yes, finally the scale is going in the right direction - for both of us - yay!

Princessroja 02-08-2018 09:39 AM

148.2 this morning, 1300 calories yesterday. I'm tracking religiously so there's no reason why this shouldn't be welllll enough for me to lose weight on, since I tend to eat 1600-2000 for maintenance, as best I can tell. I'll be more excited when I'm down past 147.4... this pound is the one I just keep losing over and over! Here comes the weekend though so I will have to be extra smart planning to stay within plan.

KoalaT 02-08-2018 06:13 PM

Finally made it to 148, so I'm gonna hang in this group for a while! Hooray!

I'm hoping to be hovering close to 140 at the end of February by killing 2lbs of fat per week.

And right now, I'm trying to motivate myself to hit the gym after work....blerggg. I wish I could EVER experience those "endorphins" or "runner's high" that people talk about. I hate working out! :-(

Happy Thursday, anyway. Keep at it!

Princessroja 02-09-2018 09:01 AM

Whoop, KoalaT! Glad to have you with us permanently. :) Hope the gym is at least semi-enjoyable!

Up to 149.2 this morning, sigh. Definitely water--I think I would have noticed eating an extra 3,500 calories last night. :P Should go back down soon.

Miss Fitt 02-09-2018 10:28 AM

Weighed in at 150.4 today...grrrr.

Hi all - after a bit of stalking I finally qualified for this group this week!! In fact I had a super-whoosh, so hoping i'm the good luck fairy for everyone who's frustrated with their plateau at the mo.
Don't know why really as I ate more calories overall last week than I had previously, but the big difference was that I did a long-haul flight for work and was 9hrs time difference away from home, which meant my body didn't know whether it was coming or going with sleep or food! I also missed a few meals because I slept instead of ate, so I was totally unpredictable compared to normal. Don't know if that's the reason or whether it's just a normal whoosh/plateau cycle thing, but i'll take it!
I also discovered the Beck Diet section of this forum yesterday and decided to buy the book and get in to the psychological side whilst i'm feeling motivated, so hopefully it will be a useful tool when things get tough.
Anyone else following those ideas?

Princessroja 02-12-2018 10:26 AM

Big whoosh this morning, down to 147.2. I'm hoping it sticks and keeps going down. It came at a good time because I spent a long time crying this morning about how nothing I was doing was working and was almost ready to chuck it all. Stepped on the scale and down 2+ pounds. Now I feel a bit silly. :P
