Hey Everyone! Jumping in..I'm not new here..I've been around for awhile...I bounce up and down in my weight and right now I'm up...way up! In fact the last time I checked I was at 173.2. I maintained the 140's from November 2016 until August and then it's been uphill since then. Well now i gotta go back down hill because I can't afford to buy new clothes and I can't afford to have cardiac issues like my dad. I'm here. Day #2 will weigh in tomorrow morning. I hope I'm not in the 170's for long.
nichols Hi, welcome to this thread!! It is nice to have you here, but I hope that neither of us are here for long! Are you following a specific weight loss plan?
kfunk: Calorie Counting and exercise. Not going to over exert myself on the exercise because it is hard to maintain but atleast 20 minutes 3-4 times per week.
Out of the 170's already ladies! I'm sure I had a ton of water weight but I figure it would have been 3 or 4 days before I was out. Hope I see everyone in the 160s soon!
Thanks, kfunk - that means a lot. Some of my family is a big source of stress and anxiety for me. I'm working on being less affected by them, though (slow going, but it's going). I definitely know what those cravings are like! You may be up a bit, but it'll come back off.
Well, I'm calling it. I weighed in at 169.2! Took me a while, but I think I'm actually in the 160s! Kfunk, I'll see you there!
chanticleer Congratulations on moving into the 160's!!! I am going to behave to the best of my ability and see if I can get there by the middle of the month. It is way easier said than done, so its great that you are taking steps to help you with your reactions to your family members.
Amazingly, even though I haven't been dieting for however long it's been since I last posted here, I have managed to stay at 179! But I have been feeling rather sluggish and bleh, and having a lot of back pain, joint pain and other pain. So I'm going to try to lose the weight so that I can feel lighter and hopefully not hurt so much. We'll see how I do.
Hi Kfunk! Good to see you're still hanging in there!
nftm That is awesome that you have been able to maintain your weight!!! I hope that your pain and sluggish feeling goes away as you lose. Welcome back!!
merowi I hear you, I want to be in the 160's too, haven't been there since HS!! Lets push each other!!
nftm I ended up losing a little over 6 lbs. in November, would have been much more, but the last week from Thanksgiving on was really bad!! I am hoping that doesn't happen again this month. I have been less strict and it snowballs, but I am not sure how much of that has to do from the holiday season vs. diet fatigue. I do have 1 super solid day under my belt and 1/2 of another one... baby steps!!
It's hard to stay away from all the holiday treats for me. Eggnog, hot cocoa, fudge, all the peppermint christmas candy... And then all the cookies and pastries. It's even worse because I work in a grocery store and I am surrounded by christmas goodies. I shall prevail. I hope.
nftm: Oh man, that would be hard working in a grocery store!! Just do your best and this holiday season will be over before you know it!! I am eating popcorn and hot cocoa for dinner tonight, lol!!
I'm at 178 this morning. I'm not sure of point what, because I am using an analog scale with the numbers that spin when you step on it. I asked my husband to get me a nice reliable digital scale for christmas. I'm looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01HBC4QUO/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
nftm I am going to be getting a new scale as well, and I will be hoping that my weight doesn't change too much when I switch! The one in the link looks nice!!
