Thanks for the support!

I weighed myself today (I didn't have time yesterday because of work)
And I weigh 170.2. I'm kind of disappointed. I thought I was doing so well. I was eating 1,350 calories. I was writing down everything and
Measuring everything. I was burning between 800 and 1,300 calories more then I was eating. I was so sure I was going to be at least 169. I'll try really hard today and see what happens tomorrow. I've lost 3.4 pounds so far this month so I guess I'm just being too hard on myself.

Just as I suspected, the weight went down again today to 177 even. It's always easier when I am home alone. I always try to take advantage of those days for weight loss.

Sheila, I've always found it easier to diet when my DBF is not around, too. I tend to fix bigger meals with some kind of starch when he's around.
HarryPotter, you are so close to the 160's that I'm sure you'll get there soon! Sometimes our bodies resist for a few days and then you get a whoosh!

Hello Rose, Keika, Ruth, Jeaton, Sheila, merowi2 and everyone else...Let's keep this up, one day at a time!

Default Hello!

Hi all! I'm new to 3FC and wanted to introduce myself in this forum! Hopefully this will keep me accountable and motivated! I've lost over 50lbs since August but the past few months I keep gaining and losing the same 10 over and over. I hope to be at my goal weight of 150 by my birthday at the end of July! But my toddler's snack as just so tasty!

I weighed myself today after really working hard yesterday. And I still weigh 170.2. It's raining where I live and my weight seems to Increase when the weather is bad. I'll just keep trying and hopefully I'll be below 170 by Monday.

BOO-YAH!! 176!! That's a grand total of 5 pounds down from Saturday! I love the post-water retention weeks, revealing all the hard work I've done in two weeks inside the space of one. Makes me feel so accomplished! :3

Harrypotterrocks, agh, you're so close!! I know you can do it! Plateaus are tough. Keep doing what you're doing, and I'm sure you'll break through it soon!

Katerbot, welcome!! Wow, 50 pounds! I hope I'm in your shoes someday!

176 this morning so I am really happy about that. I really had to slog through the 177 range. Six loooong days at 177 something. That really does get discouraging especially when you know you've been working hard. I am past the TOM phase of life but, ironically, I do still see either a small gain or a stall and still just have that "feeling". That's what last week was for me. Hoping things pick back up now. I'm spending next week traveling away from my regular scale and lifestyle so would like to lose another lb or 2 before I go and hope to be able to just maintain that while I'm gone. These decade feel like decades they can be so long and slow.

Spring is coming and the weight is still coming off so life is good!

Stay the course,

Sheila

Hi Chicks,

I went to the Dr. for my annual check-up today and I was 174- But that was with clothes on... When I weigh myself in the am it's buck naked HAHA!
Had a good conversation with him about why it's so hard to lose weight at my age. He said it's metabolic syndrome, and actually called it a curse. He said the only way he knew to reverse it would be to work out 45 min 5 days a week at a high heart rate of 160 bpm. I told him that's not a sustainable plan <<forever>> and he had to agree. Funny thing was, he is my age and is more overweight that I am He said he probably exercised 20 minutes every 4 days. Slacker!

Bottom line, I like the guy: they don't know it all and some will actually admit it. I will continue on my journey and may look into Bio Identical Hormones and see if that helps. If our hormones are off, our metabolism just won't work properly.

I am still committed to getting into the 50's and will forge on!!!

Ladymarion: I have often thought it would be a good idea to post pictures of ourselves at a healthier weight around the house for motivation! Pick out a few of your favorites and do just that!

Big CRUD! Weight popped up to 176.6 today. The numbers just don't move as fast anymore and they are more susceptible to bouncing back up. I just have to keep after it!

Ok, back down again to 176 even but seems to be an optical illusion because when I jumped back on an hour later, it was up a bit. I will take what I can get and keep moving downward!
