I've got to say.The 170's have got to be the hardest decade that I have ever been in over the years to get out of. I think every year for almost 6 years I have been in the 170's at some point. WHYYYYYYYYYY? Don't answer that I know why
170 today. love2b150 - I hear you. I've been in the 170s probably for the past year (I mean 12 months) - first tried to exercise my way out of them without sticking to a diet plan, now trying to squeeze my way into the 160s by better eating habits. I'm so close, but no cigar yet.
New here... Been hovering between 172 and 170 for what feels like forever! I am hoping that a little support might be the extra push I need to get out of the 170's.

169 today! Yeah! But the way I yo-yo up and down a few pounds, I need to wait before jumping aboard the 160s thread. I'm not in the clear yet.
Nice weigh in today Hope it stays and continues the downward motion
guacamole I you on trying to exercise out of the 170's. That is a victory in my opinion whether you ate properly or not. It takes drive and effort to go exercise daily. Better eating has always worked for me but I also had to walk which is where I am lacking this go around and most of the previous attempts also in the pass two years. I have a few OP days and then a few off point days and the cycle begins.
Today at 169.4 ... let's see how long I can stay in the decade

Good luck to us all!
Haven't been around too much lately but I'm so glad I popped in and saw your post. I too have been in the 170s for at least 12 months now. CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 160s today! I'm sure just seeing that number on the scale will give you the motivation you need to keep working your way down and out of the 170s for good.
Love2b - good to see you still posting, too!
After Christmas, I kind of hit a wall. My weight went up from lower 170s to mid 170s but I'm back down to 170.8 today! I wish I could say it's because I've been doing really well with eating and exercise but honestly it's because I've been sick and haven't had an appetite. Anyway, I'm finally feeling better and I'm hoping this gives me the push to get back to losing finally!

Hello 70's thread! This is Take Two in here -- last time I was here, I landed squarely back in the 80's within days! GRRR. Hoping I do better in this decade than I did in the last.
love2b150 Thanks sweetie! I've been doing 5:2 all along but just haven't been losing because I haven't been very strict. Are you following any plan right now?
Holding steady at 170.8 again today! Second fast of the week will be Thursday so there's a chance I might actually see a loss for the first time in months.
No NNS, I'm not following any plan right now. Just trying to do my best. Here lately I've been eating what I want and it has shown. When I get tired of the ups, I curb it and then the scale drops so it's a constant back and forth, BIG SIGH! but I can't blame anyone but myself. I should have been at goal a long time ago. I couldn't remember which one you were doing. There were only 4 or 5 of us on that thread and somebody was doing 4:3 ... Well I know that 5:2 works for you, so glad you're still doing it even if it's not as strict as it was Ha I'm just reading your signature Hoping you get out of this decade before the week is out
Thanks for the welcome, Rennie! I can completely relate to what you said. Over a month and a half, I've been one step forward, one step back. Rinse, repeat. Gained and lost the same 3-4 lbs. 6-7 times! GRRR. Time to kick it in gear. I don't want to be spinning my wheels until summer rolls around and then I'll be really sorry. :P
Sounds like several of you will be heading over to the 60's soon! Congrats!
Hello, ladies! Holding steady at 169. I thought for sure I would see a lower number this morning but that didn't happen. My weight loss is so frustratingly slow! I do remember reading somewhere on this board that sometimes, after days of being on plan and feeling thinner, even if the scale doesn't show a change hang tight and the drop will happen shortly. I'm hoping that will happen to me, because I do feel lighter (less bloated maybe?), but the scale isn't registering it. I've been pretty strict and on plan this week too. My fear is that I will get frustrated and just cave in over the weekend when there are always lots of temptations.
