nftm The 170's are a struggle for sure!! 173.8 this morning. I probably have said so before, but have you ever tried freezing grapes to snack on? I buy big green ones and they are such a treat, sooo good!! I hope you are able to curb your evening snacking and get more water in!! I am going to make a huge effort to do well this weekend!

slimmerme I am going to plan on doing OMAD on the weekends when I know there will be a restaurant outing and hopefully it will keep me in check. On Sunday I had coffee with creamer and then we went out to brunch and I had my meal and that was it for the day. I felt the need to eat more later in the day, but I was able to avoid it. Do you have an estimate of how many calories that you are eating during your meal? I am glad that you enjoyed your mom's b-day brunch!!

Kfunk- I don’t count calories; I think the important thing is the long fast, which keeps insulin low, and in my one meal I avoid carbs and eat mostly protein, good fats and veggies. However, with one meal and avoiding carbs, it ends up fairly low in calories, I’d guess 1,000 to 1,2000. Some people say 800 to 1,000 is too low for health, but I think that if your 1,000 calories are highly nutritious- sufficient protein and lots of micronutrients from vegetables, I’m not worried.
I’m down to 169.4 so will move to the 160s thread. It seems kind of dead, so hope you join me there soon.

Wow, congratulations slimmerme!

I popped back up to 180 this morning. Blah. Hopefully back to the 170's tomorrow.

Slimmer Me, is it a pretty large meal that you eat? Do you include some sort of dessert? Do you switch it up between dinner and breakfast?

kfunk6113 01-31-2018 08:53 AM

slimmerme Congrats on making it to the 160's!!! I really like the simplicity of having OMAD and it seems to work really well for the people who do it!!

nftm just a short lived bump up I am sure! I was down to 170.6 I think and now am at 173.8 AND I have added in some workouts, so patiently waiting for my whoosh and wont let the upcoming weekend derail me!! I will end up staying here with you even if I get out of the 170's. and I meant to share this with you a long time ago!! This thread is really busy and I love it! Come check it out, I do both at the same time!

slimmerme if the 160's is quiet, or you want to have more activity, come check it out!

181.4 this morning. I even drank a bunch of water yesterday, so not sure what is going on. I think I am going to try OMAD, because this is driving me nuts.

I'll check out that other thread, thanks kfunk! I wonder if the weather is affecting our weights. 😜

Hi chicks! I've been off this site a long time, but need to re-join! I'm down to 174.0 today, and my first goal is to get to 163.0, which is out of the "overweight" range on the BMI chart. I really need to be in the 150's, but first things first!

I'm trying South Beach Diet now and I like it a lot (I'm making my own food, not buying theirs). Since I like veggies, fish, and chicken anyway, it wasn't much of a stretch. I'm also really stepping up my exercise and joined LA Fitness, and go to their classes, mostly. January was solid, lost 6 pounds. My biggest problem is I work from home, alone. No accountability buddy and sitting in a chair all day (Ugg!).

Hope to get to know you chicks as time goes on...at least until we're in the 60's thread!

Andi

nftm it is so frustrating when the scale doesn't cooperate. Let me know how OMAD goes!! What kind of meal do you plan on having? Will you be counting calories at all?

webwoman Welcome!! I like how you are breaking your goals down into chunks. That is awesome that you are enjoying southbeach!! Congrats on your loss in January, very well done!! I am working on stepping up my exercise as well. I am walking on a treadmill and doing some 30 Day Shred DVDS here and there.

172.6 this morning. I drank 140 oz of water, 1 hour on the treadmill and ate 1550 calories yesterday. Hopefully I can keep the momentum up heading into the weekend!

WebWoman 02-02-2018 12:37 PM

Kfunk, you are doing great! Do you always count calories?

kfunk6113 02-02-2018 02:07 PM

webwoman Thank you! Yes I do, but I didn't start off counting them, that came later into my journey! I like it a lot!!

This thread has surpassed the magic number of 500 posts. Would someone like to start a new thread?

Or maybe you would just like to continue on the Getting out of the 1XX thread.
