No more candy pimps
No more dressing up the kids up so nicely,
then sending them out with the words "now, go get some candy". No more sifting through the "take" looking for your favorite pieces. Like the hip-hop song says "B____ better have my kit-kat" No more rushing to the store the next day looking for 50% off leftovers. Who else is gonna turn in their vinyl coat and sunglasses and join the NO pimping bandwagon??? . |
I won't touch the stuff! If I did, I would spiral back down into sugar addiction and I don't want to live that way anymore.

luckily its not a big thing in Scotland. I have no kids and none live near me so i have no excuse to buy anything

This is funny :) I struggle every Halloween... actually the whole month is a struggle cause candy is showered on us nurses :/

I am going to a Halloween party dressed as a pimp. Now I know why!

At the campground, where our permanent trailer is, there are 3 Trick or Treat Saturdays. I have already been through 2 and have NOT had 1 measly piece of candy. I got my SF Wurthers out, and was satisfied with 1 or 2 of them. So, proud of myself. Of course, every time I see the Brach's pumpkins at the store, I wince, because those were my favorite. But, I am with Raisin. I am afraid if I had just one, it would be a slippery slope for me. That's how I gained back all the weight I lost several years ago. A co-worker brought in miniature Hershey's chocolate and I didn't resist. It went downhill from there.

Basically, the end of September heralds "sugar season" and it doesn't really let up until the January doldrums. It's crazy.
