How do I remedy this?
Hello to my sisters of the same struggle!
My name is Jay and I have been struggling to lose weight for over 3 years now. I have tried portion control, more vegetables and more protein (less fruit & carbs), gym classes and at home workouts (both options every other day)... I think you get the idea. What's the problem, you all ask? I keep having problems with extreme fatigue. Over a year ago, I found out that my vitamin B12 and D levels were very low but those have been corrected with shots and supplementation and I am still having problems which prevents me from keeping up my workouts. I also had my thyroid and blood levels checked but they were fine. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do about it? Thanks for the support! |
Are you fat? Then you're probably gonna be tired and not have as much stamina. As a person who has lost and gained the same 30 lbs 2 times now I can tell you this: When I'm fat, I'm tired. It's hard to do things. I have poor stamina. When I am not fat, it's not nearly so hard and I'm not nearly so tired.
So, hoping to have learned my lesson this time, I am losing the weight, AGAIN, and I am tired. But it's getting a little better. So, if you're certain you are medically ok, then I guess I'd just keep at it and wait to see the improvement with lbs lost. |
Could you describe the fatigue in more detail? Are you able to work full-time, for instance?

How is your sleep? Oversleeping, undersleeping, getting poor quality sleep, goig to bed hungry, etc. can all make you fatigued.
When you eat your meals also may play a role. I say great for you on avoiding refined carbs, but fruits provide a lot of fiber, water, and nutrients with their sugars, so I wouldn't steer clear. Carbohydrates are important for sustainable energy, and fruit is definitely the healthiest way to get them in your body. Fruit juice isn't that great for you (but fresh veggie juice with some fruit is). I agree with Maui, carrying extra pounds makes you more of a slug. I remember when I was at my lowest weight, I had the energy of a puppy. I'd jog and jump everywhere and climb up things. |
