Getting into Onederland
Hi all. When I came on here years ago I found the threads about moving through different decades very motivational. I didn't see one for someone working out of the 200's. If this is a repeat to an active thread please let me know. Otherwise please join me here to check in and share as we move toward 199!
Current weight: 209.8 My highest weight ever and starting weight. No idea how long until I can move out of this thread, it's been a long time since I've made a good faith effort at weight loss. In my younger years the first few lbs always went fast. But I don't expect this to be the case anymore. |
Hey there,
I'm also 5'11" and my highest weight ever was 210 pounds. I've yo-yoed several times in my life, but this time my weight loss has "stuck" for over 3 years -- and I'm almost 58. I didn't lose quite as fast as when I was 16, but didn't plateau, either. I initially set myself the same goal weight as yours, 155 lbs, but ended up going down to 145 lbs. It may seem low, but I'm definitely not skinny. In my experience, losing weight in midlife is very doable and you don't have to starve. I certainly don't. Good luck and keep us posted. |
Here's the "decade" forum that would be appropriate for you (in case you want more company):

Freelance momma- thanks for your post. I actually rember seeing you on here when I used this forum years ago and found you so inspirational. Thanks for the encouragement. I will keep in keep in mind your advice about the weightloss going slower. I need to remember that the other option for doing this even when it goes slow is to keep creeping up. :-). Thanks and congrats on 3 years. That's amazing.
See my feet: thank you! I will go over and thanks for bringing it to my attention. |
