Amen, Wannabeskinny! And to add to that, I'd say that I don't like to use the word 'motivation' any more. It's a feelings-based word and as everyone knows, feelings are subjective. I wonder if that sets people up to fail...they stop feeling motivated, so they stop working on their weight loss. What changed for me was saying to myself, "No matter how I feel, no matter what the scale says, no matter how lousy my day was, I am
committed to following my plan." By taking how I felt out of the equation and just following the plan I'd established, no matter what, I stopped falling off the wagon and developed a pattern of success. I still have slip-ups, but not nearly as many as when I let my wildly varying levels of motivation determine how well I was going to do that day with my plan!
