Morning all!

First - fingers crossed for you LarryH!

And for me... up 2 pounds since May 1st, despite my gizmo saying I should have lost 1.5 pounds. I KNOW I'm not gaining fat, but water and I think, "Think" I just ovulated, so it should be coming down soon, but since I don't know if that's it or not, it could be anything. Anyway, it's always an "interesting" ride. Right?

Good news is that a skirt I wore 3 weeks ago that was a tiny bit snug not fits perfectly, so SOMETHING is happening!

Have a good day everyone. I'm off to teach Sunday school and then having a business lunch over a pizza/pasta buffet. That might be my only meal for the day! (We'll see).

Larry, I wondered where you'd been. No matter what happens, there's always hope.

Diana, I did follow a recipe from 1200 is plenty on Reddit . However, the recipe is the same as the recipe on the back of a Hidden Valley ranch packet, except for the mayo is mostly replaced with nonfat yogurt.

Just in case anybody wants to try it!

1 cup nonfat buttermilk (90 c) or regular (100 c)
Packet of Hidden Valley Ranch (40 c)
1 cup Fage 0% Non-fat Yogurt (130 c)
1 tbsp Mayo (50)
Makes 2 cups, or 32 tbsp.

Method: I put the buttermilk and ranch in a jar and shook it up something fierce. Then put it in a bowl and squash the yogurt and mayo in with it. No problem!

Math: My favorite part! I didn't believe the calorie count because it was a lot like ranch.

(90+40+130+50)/(32 tbsp) =9.7 cals/tbsp

That's even lower than what i calculated yesterday! Maybe I put more mayo? I don't know. Either way, low cals!

Im the new kid and Im not just jumping in.....Im launching in..LOL

Im 3 days into my new journey. I have a host of things Im dealing with the worst of which is breathing issues from a mold infection from 4 years ago. Its pretty scarey and one of my main hopes is to get as much weight off as possible as fast and safe as possible.

Yesterday my food choices were pretty good and stayed at 1285.

(3am)
Coffee w/cream
banana
2 clementines
>>Starting BS was 123

(Noon)
*2 cups of brussel sprouts w/lemon
granny smith apple
2 cups popcorn
>>90

(6pm)
1/4 c cottage cheese
1/8 c combo bean salad
8oz chicken broccoli bake
Diet root beer

End calories was 1285
I didnt check blood sugars for 3 or 4 hours just because I got busy. I was shocked when I did...it was 202
...2 hours later it was 120

Somehow Ive gotta tweak this. I have trouble keeping even close to the proteins Im told I need because Im not a fan of red meats and never paid attention before I guess.

Any ideas and suggestions will be accepted

down .4 this morning. Even had two small slices of cheesecake last night (they were tiny, 230 cals each) and they were GOOD

so far today -
just a package of Belvita breakfast biscuits and coffee
leaving for church in 45 minutes - will figure out what for lunch later. DH and I are talking about going to the gym to do shoulders and arms, and I'll squeeze in some cardio, too, IF we go. I have to study for 2 midterms today so we'll see...

Thanks Diana. Looking at the past 6 months, I guess I am looking at maintaining in the 160s. The 160s just feel right. When I am in the 170s, I feel too heavy. Saying that, I will take any losses when I can! I would love to hit 159, just to see if it can be done. I won't be making any big changes to achieve that though. Just my usual tweaks.

Anyway, up 0.4lbs today to 166.6lbs. I also went to my new running club again and ended up running 12 miles! I did not set out to do that but got chatting with another runner and ended up going the distance!

Anyway, I finished my seafood today with my salad so no calorie counting. Back to counting calories tomorrow.

I've had the most emotionally exhausting week. I've stress-ate a few times, plus had takeaways twice this week when I couldn't be arsed to cook.mmy son loved it, as his favourite thing on earth is Thai takeaway. I had green curry both times, so it could have been worse, I reckon. I also missed a couple workouts, but today I swam 2.5 km and then helped a friend deep clean her restaurant as a stress-reliever (cleaning calms me).

checking back in...

I've not eaten a lot today, and I did go the gym to do biceps/triceps and 25 minutes of cardio. When I got on the scale a few minutes ago before hoping in to the shower I was down 1.2! I am having two shots of whiskey today, one now and one in a couple hours. That's it. NO more. I am curious to see if it affects me adversely on the scale in the morning. But regardless, I am sticking to not drinking after this because it's working. And really I don't enjoy it like before!

Last night I had shaking chills again. I used an electric blanket in bed set on high with a second blanket on top of that and I put on fleece sweat pants. I was cold the entire night. At 4 am I got up and took my temperature with a digital oral thermometer. It read 95.6 F degrees. The Mayo Clinic web site says that 95 and below is a medical emergency for Hypothermia. About 10 am I took my temp again as I was no longer shaking but still felt cold. It had gone up one degree to 96.6 F. Tomorrow I will call my doctor for advice.

My total calories today were 1,011

Breakfast
Great Value - !00% Whole Grain Old Fashioned Oats, 1/2 cup
Milk - Reduced fat, 2% milk fat, 1 fl oz

Lunch
Denny's - Fit Fare Alaska Salmon

Dinner
Homemade - Turkey Veggie Soup, 2 cup
Sriracha Sauce, 1 Tbsp
Great Value - Cut Green Beans (No Salt Added), 1 3/4 Cup
Cucumber - With peel, raw, 1 cucumber (8-1/4")

Snacks
Cabbage - Raw, medium head, 1/3 head
Celery - Raw, 10 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long)
