Lol Diana that's hilarious! Nice to feel vindicated though!!!

Syckgirlfb what are zoodles? My autocorrect does NOT like that word.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your dog child, miniapplecocoa. (((hugs)))

Have a great weekend, mars!

Well, I'm glad it's weekend because my son has decided he never wants to sleep again it seems. He's been up running around like a chook without its head for hours. We even went for a walk around the block at half twelve because he was so wired. Ran into some rather unsavoury sorts, so we cut it short. I felt a bit of a bad mum for taking a 4 year old out to walk city streets in the middle of the night, too. He wanted to stop at Hungry Jacks for fries, and was very angry at me when I told him we don't get treats in the wee hours.

He's currently jumping on my mini trampoline. Peter, of course, is sleeping through all of it. Who's supposed to be the deaf one?!?! Lol.

Wish me luck that my boy will crash out soon! I'm totally shattered and he might soon be up playing all by himself!

syckgirlsfv Smart thinking, getting married someplace away so you can have a fun vacation visiting on your anniversary. If I ever tie the knot, I think I'll do it that way too! Are you planning to attend any shows while you're in Vegas or do you like to stick with the casinos? I'm living vicariously through you with these questions. I LOVE to travel, but like you I'm in school. My travel time has taken a huge hit. Boo, can't wait to be done.

Diana Haha! Gotta love that he experienced a blip after teasing you.

I have tickets to KA while we're there - that's the Cirque du Soleil that's at the MGM Grand And don't worry, I LOVE talking about Vegas. It doesn't get old! I've seen Mystere, Zarkana, Zowie Bowie, Legends in Concert, Vegas! The Show, and when we went for our anniversary last year we saw Andrew Dice Clay at the Hard Rock. He's AWESOME! So yes we usually try to get in a show.

Sydney zoodles are zucchini noodles made using a spiralizer. They are fun and so good!

Up 0.4lbs today. I had a picnic with friends today and ate a lot. I always offer to provide food which helps me stay a little bit on track. So there was A LOT of fish and I ate a lot of fish with some trifle for dessert and some bread. Calories unknown. I will probably gain a bit (sodium) but well worth it.

Anyway, I will not be calorie counting over the weekend. There were good leftovers...too good to throw away so I will eat those intuitively based on what I usually eat but just eyeballing the portions rather than knowing precisely based on cans. I brought some good smoked salmon home and fresh crab, baby squid, some smoked oysters and some caviar together with salad. I will munch through it over the next few days and get properly back on plan on Monday.

Exercise: Did 1 hour weight training in the morning. Ran 3 miles before the picnic.

Hey guys. Hope everyone is well. Sounds like you guys are doing great!

I had a couple slices of bacon for breakfast, along with avocado and cherry tomatoes and spinach. For snack, I had fruit and a mini milky way bar. Lunch was some roasted veggies, and dinner was salmon, tuna and avocado spinach.

Yep, lots of spinach and avocado! I still have about half a bag. I don't think I'll ever get tired of spinach, though.

We went out to eat tonight, considering I think I did pretty well...about 1400 calories. And I exercised for 45 minutes.

Diana, looks like your hubby got to see what it's like to have to be careful at a restaurant.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Follow up question, Syck, what is a spiralizer?

Diana he finally crashed out around 3:15am! We both slept until 1:00 in the arvo nearly. It felt delightfully naughty to have such a long lie-in. I didn't fall asleep until near to 7am though, and am now so tired my eye is twitching. I could nap, only Peter has gone hiking with his brother for the day so I'm on August-duty. He is having a lazy day...mostly reading and watching telly. I feel a wee bit guilty about not going anywhere, but I'll get over it!!

I haven't eaten yet today, but I've had three bottles of water already!

Default Spiralizer

I bought a very small version since I'm the only one who uses it. I don't remember the brand name right now, but it is similar to these:
http://www.amazon.com/Gogogu-Stainle...rds=spiralizer
http://www.amazon.com/Verano%C2%AE-P...rds=spiralizer

This one works fine for me. I don't use it often, but I have it for when I want to, LOL. I bought it at a local store and used a coupon so it was a pretty good deal.

Hi guys . That spiralizer thing does seem useful, but darn if I don't already have too many kitchen appliances! Is it easy to use and clean? It might be worth it. Can you put carrots in it? I especially get tired of chopping carrots, as they constantly roll off the cutting board.

I slept in today as it's Saturday and I'm way ahead on homework. Today I'm usually scrambling to complete homework and study, but meh. I'm going to work on Calc and Biology later today, though.

I was a bit naughty and had 2 mugs of coffee instead of one. I have started using half decaf, though. I've also replaced most of my diet soda with sugar free seltzer water. I will never give up Coke Zero completely, though. I just don't want it to be a daily thing. I still get through quite a bit of caffeine, though, as I drink 2-3 baggies of green tea.

I didn't feel like having breakfast. I often don't feel like breakfast if I have a large dinner and sleep in.

I was not so on plan yesterday. Potatoes, pasta with pesto, and a beef stick from the butcher when we picked up our beef. Up 2 pounds from my new low to 174.6.

I did do my weightlifting and rode the bike to the gym and back. And finally started the 30 day plank challenge. 20 seconds on day 1.

Not sure about the menu today but egg sandwich for breakfast.
