Thumbs up

I jogged 3 miles. It was packed and so hot in the gym that I thought I was never going to finish.

I'm also going to watch how I'm eating, I noticed I'm being a little too careless lately. Not awful but I either have to workout more religiously or eat less carbs.

Not much else to report. We had about 8" of snow last night (on top of the 60" we've already had) and now they're predicting 50 degrees and severe thunderstorms Thursday. Crazy weather.

I'm off to Pinterest to look at dresses.

Kelijipa -- Thank you

Alaskanlaughter -- I did try the veggie straws last week actually, I liked them, but I failed to check the nutritional info, I'm not sure what kind of calories/carbs/sodium they are packing.

Diana -- Yes, I think that's why they encourage you to bring your pets to Pet Smart...you're bound to buy something! I am sure we'll get another dog, but not anytime really soon. I think we'll give it at least a year and then see how we are feeling. Swimming was great, it's a perfect activity for both Cameron and I - he has fun, I get a little exercise and it's super cheap for public swimming here -- an hour and a half of fun for us for $4.00.

Okay, here is how my day went...

I fell asleep super early and thought it might be good to track the hours I sleep too, to see how that might impact things...

Breakfast: Whole grain bagel with swiss cheese and coffee (466 cal)
Lunch: 1.5 Toasted tomato sandwich (526 cal)
Dinner: Chicken breast, steamed broccoli, caesar salad (393 cal)

Food: 1387 calories
Exercise: Nada - zilch
Sleep: 11 hours (yay!)

Weigh in: 235.8 (-3lbs)

I wish I could get super excited about that loss, but since it follows a 2.8lb gain a couple of days earlier...I'm pretty much where I started!

Hi Everyone! ;wave:

Ian How was your energy throughout the day?

CoolMom That's a great idea to roast a lot of veggies at one time.

Radiojane I'm glad no one was hurt with the house fire. It sounds like you are staying active, so that's a good thing.

Laciemn Good job on your day and planning for tomorrow.

Novangel Good job on the 3 miles and for being proactive with your food.

Angie Congrats on the 3 pounds! It's still weight and it all counts. How is Cameron?

Thanks Diana. My energy is getting better, at least slowly. I really noticed it in the evening when doing my daily chores. Normally I feel exhausted and moody. Today, less so.

I am seriously hooked on smoked oysters. I blame kelijpa.

Let's watch the scale.

Feeling stuffed with breakfast. I guess my eyes were bigger than my stomach after a fast day.

Bowl of roasted veg
Sprinkle of feta
Fried egg
Coffee with milk

Lunch:
Leek, potato, clam soup

Gym routine #2 today and my thighs did get quite sore from the first day. Yay!

Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone! I've been MIA all weekend..so busy with school saturday, then church on Sunday had a valentine's brunch after. Off on Monday for President's day and figured I'd go to campus and spend a hour or two on my accounting project (quickbooks) and ended up getting stuck there working on it for 4 1/2 hours!!!! Took yesterday off for doctor appointment - I seem to have some weird issue with my tongue, of all things! The tip is red and it feels burnt (I did not burn it) and my tongue has teeth marks (scalloping) from being swollen. Doc took a culture and prescribed me some mouth wash to help, also said to swish hydrogen peroxide in my mouth for now. Also gave me an order for blood, so off to the lab I'll go Friday after work. SHEESH!

Novangel - The Walking Dead was amazing!!!! I was so happy to see Carol, and I KNEW Judith was alive somewhere. Loved how they made it so you couldn't see her until Tyrese turned around Can't wait for next week and the new characters...and I'm really hoping Glen and Maggie find each other SOON.

I've started going to the gym again for cardio - Sunday and Tuesday did 45 minutes of running/walking uphill. Felt so good! Legs at home tonight!

ok, now FOOD:

B - cinnamon spice oatmeal
S - hard boiled egg with mustard
L - salad: romaine, energy nut mix, hard boiled egg, BH farms balsamic vinaigrette
D - going to cook Omaha steaks chicken fried chicken (or chicken fried steak, can't tell which it is because DH took it all out of the box), mushroom gravy, zoodles!
WINE

Hi Everyone!

Ian Good news about your energy!

Alaskanlaughter It's interesting how some days we are hungrier than other days and that we have more cravings on certain days.

kelijpa Good job on your week, so far. How is your DH doing with the food/exercise plan?

Coolmom I hope you have a good workout today.

Syckgirlsfv It's very interesting about your tongue situation. The angioedema causes a similar situation. I can get a red spot and it feels burnt when I get a flare up. Since I have been on a antihistamine regimen I don't get it as often. Before my diagnoses, I went to my dentist and asked her to look at it. I thought I had cancer. She looked at it and even took pictures. She sent the pictures around to other colleagues to see if they had ever seen anything like that before but they hadn't. She put me to ease when she told me that it was not cancer. Before the antihistamine regimen it would be very painful. I hope you get it figured out.

I was beyond thrilled to see Carol! I knew she would be back and I couldn't wait....I thought Judith was gone, babies are kind of inconvenient during zombie apocalypse and thought maybe they would "end" that character. Rick is flaking out and they need people that can hold themselves together. Did I mention that I still miss Shane!?

As far as your tongue I have a feeling you're clenching in your sleep which can cause the sides of your tongue to appear scalloped. I saw that a lot with students. It's stress related. If everything else comes out fine look into sleeping with a night guard or NTI.

I wanted to go to the gym tonight but I got out of work late and BF had to go to band practice. Then I planned on Jillian but the sandwich I ate for dinner made me feel sick to my stomach the past 2 hours. Can't win. I'm off tomorrow so I will figure out something.
