Hi Everyone!

I made vegetable beef stew for dinner. It's almost 9 PM and I am waiting for DH to get home. He and the "little beast" went duck hunting today. I have already spoke with DH and he said the "little beast" did a great job retrieving the ducks. The ducks are probably almost as big as the little one. DH also said that the little one had a lot of fun today.

kelijpa Good job getting your workout in early and enjoying the food in moderation.

Novangel I wish I could send you some of our temps. To me they are cold but it would be a heat wave for you. Yesterday the high was in the 30's, today was 60. The air is very dry right now. It has sucked all the moisture out of my skin. Great job on the workout!

Syckgirlsfv
Enjoy those warm temps!

Locke Congrats on the 3 pounds!

Radiojane Great job on your weigh in! Keep up the great work!

Eydawn
I hope you continue to improve and feel better. There are a lot of people sick right now.

Ian Not a bad weigh in! Are you having the beer on some days?

Alaskanlaughter I'm glad you are getting your car repaired. Any news from the police about the phone calls?

Lala Congrats on starting the exercise program!

Laciemn
Congrats on the 4.5 pounds!

Coolmom Could you toss the roasted veggies in balsamic vinegar? Would that help with the sweetness?

Diana I thought I posted the results of that investigation but I probably didn't, being such a busy week for me and all...car troubles, federal jury duty, annual licensing inspection at work etc

the search warrants turned up the name of the guy and he admitted owning the phone....he's in his early 20s and his girlfriend's son goes to my school....the little boy used to attend my program and was in the classrooms of the teachers he's also been calling....he claims to have been drunk the whole time *eye roll*

and I KNOW HIM...I just didn't connect who he was to the name the officers gave me...I've let him IN THE BUILDING numerous times to pick up his stepson and he's never said a single word to me in person...I've also seen him walking so often in the area of my school that I assumed they still lived in the area but it turns out they don't even live around there anymore

weirddddd and definitely creepy....the police charged him with harassment and also told him not to come around the building anymore and to stop the phone calls....they left the phone trace on the lines for awhile longer just to make sure

I tasted my roasted root veg out of the oven and it is good! Not too sweet like I feared. I am debating having cocktails tonight and adding another 300 cals. I miss fancy drinks so much! Maybe I'll work it in for tomorrow night's Downton Abbey and Sherlock episodes.

Diana, what kind of doggie is the little beast?

I decided to start calorie counting. Yesterday was the first day. Today I'm down 2 pounds! If only it stayed this easy. I also worked out for 2.5 hours so I can't repeat that every day!

Today's weight: 128.4

Well, my little whoosh was nice but here I am two days later and now my weight is up .2 to 157.2. So I think the mid-upper 150's is definitely a set point for me and my "new normal" is going to be a loss of 1 pound every four days. ...Which will put me off my goal date but I suppose I can live with it as long as the weight keeps coming off. I knew it would slow down eventually.

178 today. That's down .8.

Breakfast:

Bowl of roasted veg (squash, sweet potato, red potato, carrots and parsnips),
sprinkle of feta
Sprinkle of cashews
Coffee with milk
Cod liver oil

Holy smokes that was 628 cals just for breakfast.

Hey folks! Yesterday went pretty well.

Man, thank God for steroids. Today I feel almost normal. Still coughing, but I can take almost full breaths again and didn't need a nebulizer yesterday. Whew! I don't have time for this crap. Flu season is really busy at the hospital (gee, wonder where I picked it up) and they were calling me yesterday to come work... stuck to my guns and said no.

Ended up making different dinner than I originally planned, did poached eggs in spicy tomato sauce (so easy! Jar of marinara, about 2 tbsp of sambal olek chili paste, water- cook that down in a skillet so it gets nice and thick and then crack the eggs in). Side of quinoa and roasted parmesan cauliflower and garlic toast for my hubby and brother. Came in under my calories!

Plan for today: Had lots of coffee for breakfast, gonna get late brunch with the hubs and go clothes shopping (eep.) Not sure about dinner yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something healthy...

Hope everyone's Sunday goes fantastic.

I'm glad you're feeling better! I work in Home Health and it seems crazy how many people have been battling the same thing. I've been kicking them back to the hospital left and right.

I was supposed to post here to stay accountable but I kept overeating and then I kept avoiding the forum. I don't cook and I rarely order takeout but I go to the grocery store every day and I always buy junk. I still get terrified at the idea of gaining even more weight but at the same time, I really don't care. I tell myself that if I start going through the motions, eventually I'll get into it. But then it's like I don't have the energy for any of it... So, what do I do?

Marniadec just keep trying, looks like you've made great progress, maybe you could try just limiting what you call junk to every other day to start to wean yourself off. Best of luck to you.

Alaskan that is creepy, glad you're safe and they were able to I'd him.

that sounds awesome, can't wait to try it!

Had a good day today, fighting an allergic reaction to something, I'm suspecting some lotion that has SPF in it, just itchy on part of my neck and earlobes, it's not horrible, at first I thought I was imagining it, but now I can see a little redness.

Low cal day today, typical Sunday, up 0.8 to 159, at about 800 or so for the day, was over about 350 yesterday, so balancing

B- coffee w/creamer and a latte
L - low sodium v8
D- power greens, iceberg, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, sunflower kernels, Italian
S- chai latte w/honey bourbon
E- 1.7 miles in the snow with the little dog.

Diana I bet your little guy loved his adventure!!
Hi Ian nice to see a drop, interesting reading, your food data.

Best to all
