oops, forgot to add a slice of Havarti cheese to my prior post...in my salad. YUM

AND! I think I forgot to post my latest VEGAS countdown!!!!! I have exactly one week in between my Spring and Summer quarters at CSULA, so I have booked a 2 night stay in an MGM Grand spa suite in June that week! They also gave me 2 free show tickets We were able to choose from a couple Cirque du Soleil shows, Blue Man Group, Jabbawockeez, and a magic show - I wanted to see Jabbawockeez or Blue Man Group, but DH didn't. He wanted to see KA, which is a Cirque show that we saw 3 years ago...but it was amazing so I agreed. YAY!!!

I didn't do my accountability post yesterday, but if you've read my other accountability posts, I ate exactly the same. LOL. I need to buy myself a variety of meats because eating chicken for dinner will get old soon. :P

RadioJane, I don't eat pasta often but when I do.....well, you know the rest.

I got in 3 miles on the treadmill before I had to get my son off the bus. I ran 100 errands today and still didn't get everything done that I wanted to do. My nail appointment can wait but I need new front tires and I want to get to a travel agent soon before I lose my nerve to fly.

I might actually go for doubly duty and get in Jillian too before bed.

Off to make dinner.

i walked 30 minutes home from work this morning in the rain and 45 minutes to work this afternoon because i walked farther to get some coffee....the times are based on the minutes of music listened to on my phone...i wasn't walking particularly fast because i'm wearing winter boots but that will count as my workout for the day

after work i have a cub scout meeting and directly after that i'm going to dinner with DH and after that, it will be time to do bedtimes etc for the little kids and then it's like 9 p.m. by the time they are asleep and i'll be exhausted...

my mom actually suggested that i rent a car while my car is waiting to be fixed...somehow that never even occurred to me LOL...DH and I are sharing his truck and i've been walking alot and borrowing rides from coworkers like for tomorrow's meeting...along the lines of "if you want me at the meeting, someone please come pick me up" lol and they're nice and so they will....almost everything i do is within a 4-mile radius or maybe 5 miles so i could walk if i needed to, with the exception of having to transport alot of food for my program

Hello, everyone!

Alaskanlaughter: hmm, walking versus getting rides – real advantages to both. At least you’re getting lots of exercise. Oh, and Happy Anniversary!
Novangel: Great job on the workouts
Coolmom: congrats on the 170s
Syckgirls: Vegas sounds lovely right now…Actually, so does Southern California…
Psychic: glad to see you back. What I like about this forum is that I can post when I need to, or when I’m able, and when I’m not, that’s okay too.
TravelingMichele: Those fluctuations are almost always fluid. I find posting helps when I’m doing well, because the thought of others seeing how I’m doing is motivating. However, I also find posting helps when I blew it, because of the encouragement. Keep going, your weight will head the right direction eventually.

Wahinebythesea: I can relate to the frozen wasteland - I'm living in one, too!

So, I did my bike workout this morning (about 420 calories) and MFP says my calories for today are 1572. I’ll see if I can stick with that for the rest of the day. I’ve been motivating myself by reading studies about excess weight and dieting – what works, what doesn’t, etc. Reading that stuff actually boosts my motivation. As soon as I’m done this post, I’ll be reading about the relationship between TV viewing and excess calorie consumption.

Have a good night!

Hello I'd like to join in too. I always like being in a communal blog, especially one that shares its food.

I have a big bandage on my right ring finger and it makes typing certain letters really unpleasant. Its my excuse for mistakes. Ok now i'm not making any…

Actually my finger wins - its too sore to continue typing after all. That means i can't tell you about my beautiful lentil salad i just ate for lunch.

Haha I ate kind of terribly today. I forgot my lunch and had a meeting and it went downhill from there.

Breakfast bowl (300 calories)

Lunch : Cookie, 3/4 Hershey Bar (250)

Snack : Cupcake (150 calories)

Snack : 6 Triscuits with cucumber, tomato and hummus (130 calories - try the roasted red pepper triscuits! they are really tasty!)

Dinner : A big serving of chicken pie, salad with Italian dressing and small dinner roll (600 calories?)

I really have no idea how many calories was in the chicken pie, but it didn't look that unhealthy? Who knows!

Here's what I had today.

Breakfast:
-light yogurt, Orange Creme flavor (not bad)

Lunch:
-4 deviled egg halves, so basically 2 eggs plus some mayo, mustard, and spices
-tangerine

Dinner:
-a breast from the basil lime chicken I roasted
-salad made of shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, chopped broccoli, chopped cauliflower, vinegar, and some herbs (I made a giant bowl to keep in the fridge so will be having this every day for a while!)

Later I might have a cup of chocolate milk made with low sugar Quik or a small piece of chocolate. I've been wanting chocolate milk all day.

Edit: Instead of the chocolate milk or the piece of chocolate, I had a lemon Oreo. Yum!
