Just now stepped on the scale, and I've lost 3 pounds since I was last weighed 2 1/2 weeks ago. Starting weight was 220, last weight was 206, now I'm at 203. Not as dramatic as my initial loss, but not bad considering Thanksgiving happened and I ended up indulging more than I should have! I am hoping to get down to 200 by the end of the month.
Because I have quite a bit of weight to lose (down 17 out of 70!), I probably don't look all that different yet. However, right before I left for the grocery store this evening, I put on a pair of jeans I hadn't worn since before I started trying to lose weight. Now the jeans have always been rather loose around the waist (there's a reason I hadn't worn them in 2 months, that's what happens sometimes when you hate clothes shopping and try to devote as little time as possible to it!), but when I got to the store and started walking around, it immediately became apparent that those darned things were not going to stay up. I was actually afraid they would fall down and I wasn't about to go home just to put on different pants, so instead I had to walk around the store hitchin' them up every 2 minutes. Charming, no?! When I actually got home, I decided to see what would happen if I just walked around without pulling them up and they did indeed fall down! Note to self: remember belt next time these pants are worn.
As a side note, can anyone tell me how to update my ticker? I'm completely scratching my head here. Thanks :)
