I'm 53, I had a total ovariohysterectomy at 31.

Ovaries gone, uterus gone, cervix gone!

Did hormone replacement for awhile, got over that, and all was good until a few months ago.

Now I'm having power surges, personal summers, hot flashes, or whatever you want to call it, cravings, and grumpiness!

I did go see my gyno and he said it can happen!

Get some over the counter stuff.

It is helping but seriously!? Why in the world do I have to do menopause TWICE!:devil:

And if the facial hair thing continues, I could compete with the Duck Dynasty brothers! GRR! Or my cosmo gal is going to make a lot of dough waxing my stash and sideburns!:devil:

Health wise given family history, I do not regret the surgery. But now, sheesh! No one told me or did not know back then, that this crap would crop up later! *deep sigh*

I can relate to everything you mentioned since Ive had the same surgery. I swear after the sugery I had to learn to sleep again, couldn't, hot flashes began, anger issues, darker hair, thin nails, dull skin..yup, wonderful.
