recipe calculator?
What is a good site to put in your own recipe and get nutrition counts? I am trying to do it at myfitnesspal but can't seem to figure it out. It just leads me to other recipes with the same ingredient I put in first.

I use the recipe calculator on livestrong.com. It might be at www.livestrong.com/myplate. I'm not sure if you need to have an account and log in to use it, though. I think sparkpeople.com may have one as well.

I can't post links yet.:( Just copy and paste your recipe; the site defaults to each recipe making one serving, so you'll need to change that or end up crying in your quiche, lol. |
I use the on the site where I log my food - www.nutrimirror.com, and you have to have an account there.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did remember about sparkpeople after I posted. I will try these ones too.

I do it in myfitnesspal. Mostly from my phone, and it was hard to find after the last update! On the iPhone app, you go to settings, diary settings, edit foods and exercises, then my recipes, then hit the plus sign in the upper right. Not that user-friendly! But then the nutrition info is in MVP, which is what I use to track, so it's worth it.
On the website, click the foods tab, then the recipes sub-tab. |
