If you are estimating your portion sizes, you may want to consider actually measuring and weighing what you eat. I was appalled when I found out how off I was on my "estimation" of portion sizes. It became immediately clear why I was not losing weight.
Also, what are you drinking? I was definitely taking in way to many calories in my beverage intake alone. My home brewed cup of coffee was an easy 300-400 calories a cup, and I'd have 2-3 cups a day! I have since greatly modified my coffee and it has helped tremendously. As far as seconds are concerned, I found if I drink a 16 ounce glass of water about 20 minutes before eating I feel full quicker and do not eat as much and do not have a need for seconds. You have not been at this long, so I would say give it more time. Sodium intake, water intake, time of the month, there are so many factors that enter into the equation. Keep at it! |
