I'm 5'6", 203 pounds, and I eat about 1,500 cals a day. I exercise 30-45 mins on the elliptical everyday, and I don't have cheat days, since they make me eat a TON more.

CandieRae 07-08-2013 10:48 PM

5'4. 198ish lbs. 27 years old.

How many calories I eat? Between 1200-1400 a day.
Do I ever cheat? RARELY.
How much do I exercise? SOMETHING everyday. I run 1 mile then walk 1 mile every other day. Yoga everyday. Situps and crunches every other. Shoot hoops. Bike ride.

I've been at this for 4 weeks now. The weight is coming off nicely.

HungryHungryHippo 07-08-2013 11:15 PM

I'm 5', under 90 pounds, and I maintain on 1200-1400 calories a day, and work out 6 days a week, for 35 minutes a day, either Jillian or running (3 miles).

Changergirl 07-10-2013 01:18 AM

I'm 5'7 and 170 pounds. I currently eat about 1800 calories on days that I go to the gym (60 minutes usually running, biking or lifting 5x/week) and I try to stick around 1550 calories on off days.

Before I started going to the gym I ate between 1500-1600 calories and lost weight consistently at about 1.5-2 pounds a week.

I don't have cheat days, but I also don't keep my calories low enough that I feel like I need to, it's all about moderation.

5ft 2in and now 159lbs, i eat between 1100-1300 kcals a day, averaging roughly 1200. Been slack on the exercise recently but jillian when i do get my backside up. Also i tried a cheat meal, one week was fine, one meal turned into a weekend and took two weeks to get off. On mini break this weekend so will trrrry to make some sensible choices.

I'm 5'2", 40 years old, consume 800-1000 calories daily ON A MEDICALLY SUPERVISED PLAN, exercise 3-6 days/week. Usually lap swim (60-90 minutes) or Leslie Sansone videos (1 or 2 mile walk). I've lost 40+ pounds since March 30, 1-4 pounds per week. I don't cheat, with the exception of last week, when I gained 1/2 pound.

krampus 07-10-2013 04:51 PM

I'm 5'5, 120ish pounds, probably low-mid 20s %BF, and I maintain at 2000+/day if you take a week and average it all out.

I exercise 5-6 days a week - running (steady state and HIIT sprints), weightlifting (no deadlifts or heavy leg work for now, injury), the occasional spin or pilates class.

I'm 52, 5' 10.5" tall, and weigh 311. I am currently doing Intermittent Fasting on a modified Paleolithic Diet, and I average 1875 calories per day. I do Pilates for an hour on five days per week, and a cardio/TRX/weights routine three days per week. And I do no form of exercise on the weekends.

I am 5' 3" and 118.4 lbs. I have under 1000 calories a day. Probably about 900 cals. I don't work out. I am active for most days though so I consider that my "exercise". I used to do exercise such as some walking at home video but it's not intense enough to make a big impact and I can't do most type exercises because I need muscle and hernia repair resulting from my pregnancy. I can make things worse if I am not careful.

Anyway, I am pretty happy with my method, as I am losing weight and I look really good! The only downfalls I had was binge eating and gaining about 10 lbs back but I am back on track now and lost the weight I regained.

You can see my height/weight on the side (I'm 38) but I was running 5-6 days a week, averaging 20mi a week but I have chilled on that a bit now that I'm past goal. I was really trying to watch my cals while losing but now I'm all over the place. One day I'll eat 1,000 the next approx 1,500-1,800. I've somehow managed to maintain my weight since April this way. I also fast during the day, I tend to not eat a solid meal until later in the day but I have always been this way. I stopped keeping track in May after I started a new job and got side tracked. I don't recommend mental tracking to others, keep it on paper. I'm sure there's cals I've missed and I've just been lucky. I'm not a junk/sweets person though.

I'm 5'8" and eat net 1200-1300 calories a day. I use a fitbit and MFP to calculate this. I walk 2-3 hours a day and rarely go over my daily calorie goal. But then again, I do have some medication help to counteract the weight gain from my SSRIs (antidepressants) so this makes staying within 1200-1300 easy. I'm able to actually not finish what's on my plate for the first time.

Mama Whitty 07-11-2013 06:01 PM

I am 5 foot 2. I weigh 146. I eat 1200 calories a day. Get in a hour of exercise every day. I do 30 minutes walking up intense hills & 30 minutes jogging on the flat straight parts. I do rarely have a cheat day, but I still record everything. Hopefully it balances out since I am under 1200 calories on so many days.

mccull83 07-11-2013 08:09 PM

I am 5'8", 248 pounds and eat 1200-1700 calories/day (and one cheat day a week of 2,000 calories) and exercise 30-45minutes 6 days a week. I have a desk job, but try get up and walk around for 5 minutes 3 times a day. (Not sure how much that means I loose a week)

shutterbugmama84 07-11-2013 08:42 PM

I'm 5'5" and 211 lbs. I stayed at about 1200 calories for the first month but found I was always starving. I lost 16 lbs in that months so decided to up it to 1500 a day and I'm okay with the weight loss slowing down a bit. I work out pretty hard (cardio and weight lifting) 5 days a week.

Hi All,

I just thought it would be nice if everyone could post their height, weight, how many days you work out and around the amount of calories you consume. Also if you have bad days. I am trying to get a general consensus on if what I am consuming is accurate and this could help others out as well.

I am 5'3, 150 lbs, workout at the least 5 days a week (45-60 mins plus) and consume about 1500-1600 calories. I have been told my some (including dietician) that I should be eating close to 1800-1900 a day. I am worried that may be too much but on the other hand I hit a plateau, so that could mean I am really not eating enough. I do have an occasional cheat day once a week or every two weeks.

Thanks in advance!

So I decided to up my calories to about 1700 plus and in 3 days I went from 150 to 148.6..hopefully this means I am no longer on my plateau.
