I need a push...
I recently found myself in the 170's after being stuck for weeks in the 180's. Well after this past weekend (girls weekend away with lots of food and alcohol, drank more calories than I ate ) I am back up to the 180's and now really lacking the motivation I once had. Maybe I just need a solid week of working out or just some wise words of encouragement. I want to be healthy and feel good, just feel like I am in a funk.

I know what you mean! It feels like once you get off the "wagon", it's very difficult to get back on it.
Just take it one day at a time, and focus on one activity for that day. For instance, go walking or walk the dog for 30 mins. Just something to build yourself back up towards wanting to lose that weight again. I recently bought some pilate bars that I can use to do some stretching moves while I'm watching tv. It's my way of still trying to get some work in. LOL |
*PUSH*, If that does not work, *SHOVE*.
Actually a few days back on track and you'll be fine. Most of the gain is water weight. Last fall, my sisters and I took a long weekend and went on one of those little sprees. I was up when I got home, but 3 days back on track and it was all gone!:D |
Have you taken the time to really figure out your WHY? Why do you want to lose weight? What will be different for you when you hit your goal? It isn't just about a number....keeping in mind "the bigger picture" of health really helps me. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback! I made my way to the gym last night and had an awesome full workout of cardio and free weights. I even picked up my pace on the treadmill and went further than I normally go...needless to say I feel much better today. I think I just needed someone in my corner to say "you can do it, you know you want to".
For me it is not necessarily about the weight-loss itself, that is not my ultimate goal. I want to be as strong on the outside as I am on the inside, in order for me to obtain this goal I know I must lose some lbs. Thanks again for the advice! |
I went to Las Vegas a few weeks ago for 3 days and splurged on food and drink. I gained 4.5 lb.s but lost it again in 3 days of being back on track! It was worth it!!! When it's a planned cheat I always do better...so I plan some cheats for holidays and vacations. What discourages me is dieting HARD and working out daily and getting 0.5 lb.s a week as a norm of weight loss!
