Not weighing myself till August 1!!!

I'm a little tired of the scale and the dissapointment I feel every week. Well almost every week. In fact I've noticed that my biggest enemy is the scale! If the number is not what I want it to be I feel like binging or just giving up! I don't think I can to this if I weigh myself every week. I need to see a substantial change to help me go on! So I will weigh myself August 1st, and from then on once a month. It will be hard but not as hard as what I'm going through now. Wish me luck!!!

You've lost seven pounds, which is great. You need to use the previous losses to motivate you not to give up and to dig deeper.

I weigh daily and that might be something you consider as well. On most days my weight goes down (by a small amount) but once or twice a week it goes up. Five or six downs outweighs one or two ups. Just an idea if week-to-week is too much for you to deal with. Else go longer as you suggest.

Good luck!

I would also suggest taking your measurements once a month to measure your progress if you're getting discouraged with the scale.

That's a great decision. I know I was a daily weigher and it was great when I was seeing progress 4-5 times a week. However as I've gotten further into this journey and the weight is coming off slower I definitely agree with you that the scale became my enemy. I still am weighing myself once a week. My official weigh-in days were always Thursday and it's hard to give that up after 7.5 months.

Just like Katie816 said I'd recommend taking measurements. I do it once every 4 weeks and even when the scale isn't great the measurements are. I only lost 1.5 pounds between my last two sets of measurements (4 weeks on plan!) but I lost inches everywhere which is so much more satisfying.
