How did you do, freelance? Aren't you the energetic one, running a 5k on Sunday morning! Good for you!

I was up for church this a.m. But I get up at 4:40 a.m. on most days anyway to walk my dogs, and then I go to a CrossTrain class at 5:30 (as you can tell, I'm definitely a morning person); my body's clock is already used to that, so I get up early on the weekends, too.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, starbrite. I hope all goes well at the doctor's appointment for you.

I was pleased. My time was 31:51, about 2 minutes less than my time in the same race last year. It was also faster than the average for this women-only race, which was around 34 minutes. AND I came in 11th out of 37 in my age category. My running buddy and I have decided to enter an 8K race this October. That will definitely be a challenge for me as stamina isn't my strong suit.
