Default A close call/A victory/A telling moment

I have been low on motivation lately, eating more and gained a pound. Tonight when I went for a snack I poured a big bowl of chips and said to myself "I don't care anymore." Then I said "yes I do," poured the chips back and took out a bag of low cal, portion controlled microwave popcorn. It was hard cuz I am still over my calorie limit and I feel like I just wanna say the day is ruined but each battle adds up to define the war, right?

Props to you for doing that!!! That is what I need to learn how to do!

and it's definitely these small changes that make a big difference, also look how far you've come! Btw what kind of popcorn is it? I desperately need some portion controlled sizes of snacks!!

Good for u, I have been having a hard time lately saying no to my impulse eating. U might have been over for the day but resisted thinking that made it ok to make a poor choice.

Good job!!!! You know a journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step. You took a big, giant step towards your goal by putting those chips back.

That is fantastic! Great job! I did a similar thing last week and it felt really great. Here's how I started looking at it:

So I'm over my calories. I wanna say eff it and eat what my heart desires. My heart desires like 1000 more calories. But I don't, I say I'm going to eat this thing that is 200 calories. I saved myself from being even further from being over my calories. I saved myself 800 calories, that adds up.

You are totally correct. You can win the war by winning the battles. One loss doesn't mean the war is over. You can regather your troops and strike again.

Thanks friends!

Hhm6--the popcorn is Orville Redenbacher SmartPop I think. 100 cal bags. They are still big enough to satisfy that hand to mouth urge.

Great job. You avoided the all-or-nothing trap, which is more than half the battle, as far as I'm concerned.
