You guys are so sweet. And so is she - I just LOVE that newborn smell and she's a big cuddler (I've had other babies in the past who were fussier, but Holly is sweet and calm in arms).

This is my first real day back on the job, so to speak, without my husband helping. Holly is now ten days old and doing very well, and I made it through wake-up routines, breakfast cooking, homeschool, playtime, lunch, piano practice, and now the four kids are napping. WHEW! It's been uneventful and I'm still feeling good, so that is EXCELLENT news. I also have 900-ish calories left in my allotment for dinner, which makes me a happy girl (nursing =eating house down ).

My husband also just got notice to proceed on a huge project for his business. This is excellent financially, as when it is done our debt will be obliterated (we've been chipping away at it for seven years) and there will even be funds leftover for doing some projects on our house this summer. That's the good news. The bad news? He works full time during the day, and then his after-work time will be spent on churning these building plans out. Which means that until the last week of May he is working 70+ hour weeks and I'm handling not only our normal family schedule, but an extra three hours each day that my lovely husband usually pitches in. And this begins TONIGHT. So please pray I don't collapse in a heap or have major meltdowns over the next two months - getting back to normal was going to be hard enough, but this is INSANE!

The baby is adorable! How are the siblings handling the excitement?
Congrats on the new project - wishing you both well on all the extra work.
