Yesterday I got in the water with my 8 month old for his second swimming lesson, and my DH took a bunch of pictures (like many new parents we've turned into quite the shutter bugs when it comes to our DS). When we got home and looked through them, I was shocked at how much my body and face have changed and how much I actually like the way I look! And in a swim suite to boot!
When I first started (or rather, re-started) this journey in September I made a post about being embarrassed by old pictures of myself and feeling ashamed of how much weight I'd gained. It feels so good to be moving in the opposite direction, and seeing how much progress I've made has really strengthened my commitment to this.
Attached are pics of just before I started (August 2012) and yesterday in the pool. They're different angles and it's hard to really see what my body looks like as it's underwater, but I can definitely see a big difference in my face.
There is definitely a big difference -- congratulations!! I've been having the same experience lately, where I'm actually happy with pictures that are snapped of me... Definitely motivating...
Definitely a difference, and doesn't it feel wonderful to be glad to have pictures taken of yourself. And I totally understand the picture crazy approach with a new one. What did we do before digital cameras? Oh yeah, spent a small fortune on film and processing and didn't take nearly as many pictures!
