If you want to see how much weight you're pushing up get into a pushup postion and put your hands on the scale. Depending on where you hold your fat you could be pushing up 300lbs. I couldn't do that once.

Thanks. This morning at the gym I maxed out at 220 (110 on each arm) on shoulder press and 250 on the bench press. I usually don't try to max out, but I wanted to see how much I could lift based on my 1 push up. I only got 1 of each. Since I carry most of my weight in my lower half, I'm guessing that's about how much I was lifting when I did the push up.
From what I've been reading, it can range from 50% to 80% of your body weight. So based on what I did at the gym, I'm assuming it was close to 50% of my weight and nowhere near 80% lol.
