NSV.....8.2 Miles!!!!

NSV....I ran 8.2 miles today....Took a short Gatorade/bathroom break at about 6 miles. Restarted the GPS tracker and finished 8.23 miles to be exact :) I could have finished 9 miles but my leg has been bothering me and it started to hurt. My goal was 8 miles and I thought I should play it safe. However, I did it!!!! Longest distance yet....

Training for a half marathon in April (I think). I just might make it! To think, less than a year ago I started C25K and could barely run for 45 seconds!!!!!!!!!! What a difference a year makes.

Awesome!!! That feels so good, doesn't it!? I feel like an olympian that just won gold when I get a new long distance. Seriously, I do. It's that feeling that you did the one thing that you thought you could never do. It's overwhelming - and the endorphin rush feeds it also. :congrat: :cheer2:

Yes - don't over do it. I've learned that even when my heart/lungs can run for longer, sometimes my body can't. It's not worth the next several days being unable to run because of injury.

You rock!!! I am aspiring to be where you are. I want to do a half-marathon in May but am only up to 4.25 miles.

You should ABSOLUTELY sign up for that half!!

Oh wow! I find that so amazing! I run, but I'm not really a runner, you know? I'm always so impressed and in awe over you runners. Thanks for sharing your news!
